The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
And two more games buyed, Sin Gold is off my wishlist and Postal 2 was only 1,49 $ so grabbed that too.
I missed Startopia so to cheer myself up I had to eat something sweet.
So, I made a couple of pancakes (Polish pancakes, I think in France they are a bit different... don't know how in the other countries).
Who wants some? :)

Man, I sure picked the wrong day to finally buy Wing Commander III (yesterday)! Oh well, $3 isn't really anything, and maybe now I'll go pick up the rest of the games!

n64link: Well I sent a message to the support team. Hopefully easy to resolve. I got some games at "only" 50% off since I won't be able to do the insomnia thing today and certain ones were even lower thanks to the flash sale element.

For those who casually peruse the site this seems like the best sale. Those who can wait for a flash to pop up will get an even bigger discount, while those who just want the game are getting it for half price. Win-win for us.

EDIT/UPDATE: ... and as I post this, the team fixes it. I love that GOG guys don't waste any time even as I am sure it's a virtual nuthouse on their servers right now.
You could just peruse the flash sales when time permits and try to get the best deals, and then buy all the games you missed in the flash sales near the end of the sale in a few weeks as the 50% off discount applies to all of the eligible titles until June 30th. It'd suck to buy one at 50% off right away and then happen to spot it at 80% off next week during a flash sale. :)

Contact support and they might refund the price difference. They do have the money back guarantees and all that stuff. Worth a shot to try anyway. :)

I imagine a "wing commander" bundle super deal should pop up one of these days...

gandalf.nho: Never played The Pit, but the King's Bounty series is very good

Mondkalb: King's Bounty is a pleasant mix of elements from rpg, strategy, and adventure games. The world map has colorful graphics and there is lots to discover. The battles are similar to Heroes of Might and Magic with some nice ideas thrown in. I still can't decide which one is better, Armored Princes or its predecessor.
Thank you both for the recommendation. I went ahead and got it. :)

Probably, there was one during the winter sale and the games were all super duper cheap, I was able to complete the entire collection.
I hope it's not offending anyone when I say this. I cannot stand the sales that last for one hour. I also disliked the previous promo in that it was time sensitive and to find something I was looking for would have required me to constantly keep the browser open. It frustrates me as a consumer, making me feel like I'm missing out on what would otherwise be a purchase. I just can't stand sales that operate like this and makes me feel like a second rate consumer. Sorry to offend anyone.

Pica-Ludica: WIZARDRY question:

Would Wizardry 8 be enjoyable to someone who has never played any game of this series? Am tempted to get it at this price, but if the story and characters are building on previous games, I'm afraid I won't be able follow much of it. :/
It's by far the most accessible of the series and while the story and some of the characters are drawn from 6 and 7, the details of those games are generally unimportant and the intro movie covers the few things that you do need to know, so it works perfectly well as a standalone game.

But the waiting is what makes those promos so much fun! :)

I don't think anyone is offended. To each their own. I personally loved the Insomnia sale, but realize it definitely isn't for everyone.

However, during this sale, almost the entire catalog is 50% off. Ignore the flash sales if they're not your thing, but if there are games that you have been wanting to purchase for a long time, check their price because they're likely available at a steep discount as well.
Thanks for adding the "Owned" banner. I like that i can quickly see if I have a game or not.

No offense taken....I love these sales, mainly for the forum chats... (The are pretty obsessive so I can see why some would hate them). Most of GOG is pretty cheap anyway, so if not your thing just pop in and out when you feel like it, then if you don't get what you want, you can always get the "base" discount the last day....or wait for the games you are looking for to come on a "normal" sale at some point (they always seem to...) :)

edit - fixed typo..x2
