There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

TNGpt: We have been waiting since late last year for the patch. I doubt they will be releasing 1.07 now for GOG after all this time; according to GOG, Kalypso will be releasing 1.08 for all the versions. No E.T.A. for that though...
avatar
IronArcturus: That's too bad. So the game is pretty much broken until it gets fixed with v1.08?
Well v1.07 fixed the problem that 1.06 added to the campaign but no one knows what 1.08 will bring or when it will be released. Supposedly, yes, it includes the fixes from 1.07 plus new stuff but again, no one (including GOG) knows when it will come out. Looking at the Kalypso forums it has been worked on for a while (since 1.07 was released on steam) but no idea when it is finally released.
Thank you, GOG, for continuing to give us freebies and epic sales. :D

WilderRabbit: I had my eye on Omertà for a while now and happily picked it up, but does anybody around these parts know why the Japanese Incentive DLC is not available for Mac OS/X? An answer would be greatly appreciated. Apart from that keep on doing what you do best GOG! Putting smiles on peoples faces!
it is.... Japanese Incentive DLC was released for Mac too...
but, I dont know if the GOG's version is compatible for Mac....

mortalkombat: If steam was giving a game for free now
It would be a free-to-play game, 100% strictly online, that
once you got it.... you would have to pay $$$ to get upgrades
in order to compete with others online,
otherwise game would be unplayable for you....

GOG instead provides the full game for free, as is, without a "catch"....
What? That makes no sense. Sniper Elite V2 was free on Steam few weeks ago, which is a perfectly good game.
last year steam gave L4d2 for free,... so far i know, steam gave never a free2play game for free in a sale!
The only problem is, when they give a free game, the server crash imiditley!..and, i guess, they gave so far only FPS games....

would be rly cool to see sacred2 or an X3 game for free.

Steam has given away Portal, L4D2, Red Orchestra and Sniper Elite V2 for free though (and maybe others?). And TF2, Dota2, Path of Exile and others are free to play games without pay to win elements.

There was also Arma: Cold War Assault.

But I would not count F2P games to that list.

well, once I got 3 free-to-play games (I din't understand why they refer to them as "free-to-play" and not "free")
after I downloaded, installed, went through DRM....anyways..... long story short....
playing the game, not even 10 mins in game, there were locked "things", which I had no access, but you could get by paying, as extras (i am not reffering to DLCs)...
that was enough for me to instantly uninstall the games

ps: there were multiplayer only games

Let me get this straight.

You're saying that Steam only gives away for free games that are themselves already free.

And your plan is to blackmail this person?

Good Luck.

Thanks mortalkombat! I had a look at the *STEAMy* dark side as well and they had Mac support too. GOG's version is PC only, for now, I suppose. Anyhoo, best of luck in the final group Match tonight!

Immoli: btw when does this sale end? Interested in buying Banished, but going to wait for the last day.
avatar
SpellSword: My understanding is that it will end on the 30th.
So 29th is basically the last day of the sale. -_^

(Unless I'm mistaken...)
Guess I'll go with that. Thanks.

w-w-w-w-what????

I said that, when I decided to try the steam service, i tried 3 free-to-play online games...
and the game was not fully unlocked, some "things" were locked and I had to unlock them by paying,
which gave me a wrong impression, since I got the impression that these games were totally free and fully unlocked....
learn to read

blackmail who? for what?

you work for steam? your plan is to change my mind about the quality of service?
then you will need God's intervention

Is there a way for the player to manually patch their game if GOG can't get the patch?
Well Omerta will disappear in 1 hour, so i think the next games, which will pop up after the next 6 games disappear contain our next free game.

you could contact GOG's tech support, they will reply to you....
yes there is a chance this version is Mac compatible but they didn't mention it....
but I would,t buy it unless I got verification by a member of GOG staff

thanks, we will kick @@@ tonight....
