There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Treasure: Offtopic-Did you notice something crazy? :-)
That's happened a few times throughout the promo, first with Octodad. I believe they might be taking the full list of games and randomizing it, then once they've passed through the list, they take the full list of games and randomize it again. When you join the two end to end with a 15-30 game overlap between two passes, there is a chance that a game from near the end of the first pass may appear near the beginning of the 2nd pass. That's one possible explanation anyway. :)

JinseiNGC224: Got it :)

Bought the Japanese Incentive for 75% as well!

I'm going to guess when you get all DLC's it's the equivalent of the Gold Edition?
avatar
skeletonbow: Yep, but the DLC is also on the list of speculated freebies to show up. :)
Where's the list of speculated freebies?

is The Banner Saga on it ?!! :D

EDIT: No... :(

And I scored banished 50% off a few days ago! I hate myself .... :(

I waited so long and I should of waited longer!

Yep. :)
Just got Omerta. Goddamn you GOG for exploiting my weakness of free stuff!

j0ekerr: Interesting to know and rather telling of Kalypso's commercial policies, and what it tells is not nice, but rather crude, about as crude as telling a nazi shower joke at a bar mitzvah.

Shambhala: Overstating much?
Not really, it would have been, if I had compared it to an Adam Sandler movie.
Is there really a chance for Banished to be free? It was only released four months ago. It would be awesome, but somehow I doubt it.
avatar
yyahoo: So the version of Omerta that GOG is giving away is the one that is missing a DLC?

Meh, oh well, that's the one I already had. I was hoping to get the last DLC for free, since I don't generally don't buy DLCs on principle...
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in time they fold the remaining DLC into the main game card and everyone that owns the base game just ends up being grandfathered into the GOTY Super Holy Shit Everything Edition. That happened already once with this game since it came to GOG IIRC, so it's not unlikely anyway. :)

HypersomniacLive: Seeing Omerta: City of Gangsters (4 DLCs Included) being a freebie but Omerta: City of Gangsters The Japanese Incentive DLC appearing as a discounted title, my guess is that not all titles that have yet to make an appearance are going to be freebies.
I'd expect Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Still Life 2 and Torchlight to be the most likely candidates for freebies, and the rest to be heavily discounted.
Good guesses. Whistleblower would be an odd freebie, being both new and DLC. And if Banished were a freebie, it would probably crash the site for the whole time it's up.

undeadcow: Close enough for me to brag...

"Because it amuses me to do so... I predict the "flash" freebie will occur on Tuesday, June 24, at 12pm CST. This is based on no solid information, only my whim."
Nice one! :)

AttObl: Is Omerta worth the free price?
avatar
Immoli: Well according to the forums, the game is broken as of patch 1.06 and the dev/pub refuses to give the patches that fix it to gog.

Why is GOG giving away a broken game? Why are they even selling it?
Probably for the same reason there is a game breaking bug in Sam and Max.

But I want to know if that bug can be circumvented in any possible way, (like the one in Sam and Max) or if it will ALWAYS break your game and prevent you from playing any further.

I'll be happy if it just shows up for sale. I've set my personal price point at 70% off or more for that game and GoG can squeeze more money from my wallet.

I just bought it for 10 it was worth every cent I wouldn't wait to long to pick this one up.

Scroll up, then up more until you find it. I posted it not long ago. :)
Omerta is free!!! Did I miss anything else? OMG the madness is here...stop it GOG...stop taking my...oh wait it was free, in that case...give me free games now :P

skeletonbow: The Gold edition is still an unknown though, but... as you suggest it might now be a promo discount instead of free which comes later on after the freebie period ends.

I certainly hope the other games show up free though, at least Banished. :) But, even if they're just discounted that could be great too.
Unknown indeed, but I don't think that GOG would screw over the people who bought the DLC to complete their free game by releasing it free hours or days later. They've been very careful not to give people a good deal and then swap it out for an even better deal later -- I doubt it's an accident that there's no overlap (that I've seen) between the bundles and the flash sales. (They're better than Steam at this!)

But, yeah, I'm right with you on Banished. Might even consider it for a good enough discount... I believe it was only half-price when it was a Steam flash sale and it's been half-price the whole sale on GOG.
