The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
Where can I find omerta for free? I can't find it on the front page.

moomoopiggie: First world problem me thinks? :)

AttObl: Maybe, but I'm not sure if the game itself is good.
Based on the rating (2/5 stars) and feedback, it seems pretty average. I wouldn't pay the ticket price of $19.95.

skeletonbow: There are 7 days left in the sale including today (24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30), so perhaps they'll be one-a-day drops modulo some weirdness with all of the Omerta entries.
Well, from the updated post at the top of the thread: "For the next three hours (that is until 3:59PM GMT) you can grab a free copy of the gangster strategy title, Omerta: City of Gangsters. You can find it among the stream of other flash sales! That's only the first of the giveaways we have planned for today, so make sure to keep an eye out for more throughout the Adrenaline Rush day."

So since today is "Adrenaline Rush day", they might all be today. Also, the Omerta Japanese DLC is listed on the front page for $3.74, probably to tie in with the base game... So there's a small chance Banished could not be free, but it doesn't really tie into any other promotion that I can tell, so I would guess it would be. :/

Also no idea about the Omerta Gold Edition since that is apparently just the base version we got free plus the Japanese DLC currently for sale. Maybe it will be a flash sale after the giveaway for the people who missed getting the base game for the free?

Press the CTRL key on your keyboard and spin the scroll wheel to zoom in. Then scroll the page slowly. :)

IAmSinistar: Folks have been saying that Omerta is missing a crucial patch, which is already available on inferior* game delivery services. Can a bluetext comment as to when we can expect it here? Or are the comments out of date and it is indeed already patched?

* My evaluation. Which is usually correct. ;)
I'm one of the idiots that bought Omerta on GOG. I'm afraid that we (those that bought Omerta on GOG) are still waiting for a 1.07 patch that was released awhile back on Steam (last year).

edit: although it has been said that Kalypso will release 1.08 for the GOG version, when that happens remains to be seen

So will the next freebie be Sword of the Stars, or any other game with DLC?

Wow I'm blind. I scrolled through it twice before. xD
I'll never accept scripts that allow the same game to be offered twice at the same time...
Well. Maybe the Whistleblower is for real going to show up. Crossing fingers.
So based on the images found previously and what we've seen so far here are my guesses.

Free:
Omerta: City of Gangsters (4 DLCs Included)

Probably not going to be free:
Omerta: City of Gangsters Gold Edition (Base Game + 4 DLCs + Japanese Incentive DLC)
Omerta: City of Gangsters The Japanese Incentive DLC

3 of these will likely be free today, the others who knows:
Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Banished
Outlast: Whistleblower DLC
Still Life 2
Torchlight

The multiple graphics for Omerta could also just be an oddity due to the game having DLC and different packagings, and there might only be the one that is showing right now. Either way I think I'll hold off on the extra DLC pack until I get a chance to play the game and existing DLC to see if it's fun enough to spring for the extra DLC pack later on. :)

Still pretty awesome to have the game as a freebie though either way, and nice of the publisher & GOG to offer it up. Perhaps that could even increase the popularity and ratings of the game. :)
Thanks Kalypso and GOG for Omerta!
Offtopic-Did you notice something crazy? :-)

It's easy for me to spot the free flash deals. I just need to scroll down and eye the one game that doesn't have "owned" pasted on the top left ;D

I wonder what the next one will be >.>

Rakuru: And yes, thank you GOG. 4 DLCs included and everything! So nice. I like the visual style of the game based on the screenshots so far. :) Also thanks in advance for Banished, while I'm at it.

True, almost missed that detail. The freebie pictures are indeed in the exact same format as the flash sale pictures. ;)

skeletonbow: Bingo! Banished! Awesomesauce! We just have to wait it out now. :)

Here is the list of flash sale graphics that haven't turned up yet which were speculated could become freebies:

Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Banished
Omerta: City of Gangsters (4 DLCs Included)
Omerta: City of Gangsters Gold Edition
Omerta: City of Gangsters The Japanese Incentive DLC
Outlast: Whistleblower DLC
Still Life 2
Torchlight

Banished!
4 flash giveways for this 24 hours!
