With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

bigsilverhotdog: Can we please get some new deals? I've purchased nearly everything on flash and bundles so far and I've noticed that consistently the exact same stuff keeps coming back again, and again, and again, and again.
LOL - have you ever seen Groundhog Day?

will107777: (Note: For clarity, I've edited this quoted post into the 2 questions below.)

1. Is the Wing Commander series anything like the Star Wars: X-Wing / TIE Fighter series?

2. Any reported sightings of those free flash giveaways yet?
1. Yes, they're much more alike than they are different, especially when you compare them against the wide selection of games available on GOG. There are major differences between the two series in many respects, but if you like one, you'll very likely get some enjoyment out of the other. They're both space-flight sims, after all.

Comparing apples to apples - that is, the vanilla Wing Commander series (WC 1-5) to the 1990s' Star Wars space-flight sims - the WC series focused on highly-developed stories that integrated detailed missions throughout and always attempted to set space combat in a realistic universe with realistic flight & combat models (which got better as the games progressed), whereas the Star Wars series ignored any kind of realistic flight or combat model (which was particularly evident when it came to ship damage) and focused more on fun open-space arcade combat and a reasonable simulation of what space dogfighting would be within the construct of George Lucas' Star Wars universe.

2. Not that I know of.

Still waiting for Brütal Legend to show up again in the flash sales, but it seems as if they took it out of the sales! Does anybody have any clues about that?

Shendue: Uhm...if everything was on sale, there won't be anything at full price left on the site. I think the sale is amazingly big as it is. It covers a large part of the GOG catalog.
Yeah, the sale's been pretty good, and I've snagged some real bargains (and spent more money than I probably should have! ;-) ), but I agree with bigsilverhotdog -- it's the same titles rolling back around, over and over, and it would be good to have something new to shift the game. (So to speak!) It seems a long time to keep the sale running without something new to make the people who bought last week want to check in again this week.

Hmm, maybe it's just self-interest speaking. :chortle: I got a decent helping of bargains last week, so I'm not feeling greedy. In my own interests, I'd like to score a few more off my wishlist at sale prices, I have to admit.

Hi everyone.

GOG stole another purchase from Steam, at least for me. I have been keeping an eye on "Dark Eye 3: The Chains of Satinav" on Steam for a long time as it was 80% discounted and offered at 3.99$. I did not know that it was also offered as a flashdeal here. Last night I debated with myself whether or not to buy it on Steam so that I would get rid of that "should I buy or not" dilemma. At the last minute I decided to wait.

And guess what? As soon as I opened GOG page this morning I noticed that it was available on GOG as a flashdeal and it merely cost 1.99$, two dollars less. Yay! I immediately jumped at it. The result: Both GOG and I am the winners and Steam is the loser.

Because I am happy clap along if you know what is happiness to you
because I am happy clap along if you feel that's what you wanna do:)

Hope it is a good game; reviews sound favorable.

I second that, new deals please.
I've bought all I want from what's come up days ago, it's feeling a little redundant and tiring at this point, without any new flash sale games I think this thing has long since run it's course.

Congrats that you have the game you want with the price you're happy with. Sometimes patience really pays off. :)

Hmm . . . "Stalker Bundle?" Is that some kind of special deal for those of us who have been compulsively checking the sale for several days now? :-)

Damn, was about to go to sleep, but if they're very very close and they're flash giveaways... :( Your fault if my sleep schedule is ruined, GOG.

I'm pretty sure only Syberia 2 has been on the flash rotation...
