The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

IAmSinistar: So, if I buy Sword of the Stars: The Pit Gold Edition next time it comes up, and I already own all the pieces as separate purchases, does that break something?
I see you're bored. If the sale breaks I'm blaming you. :)

Beware the idle machinist with a box full of wrenches. :)

mortalkombat: you could sent a mail to staff at steam, saying that you bought the Hitman complete collection/bundle but they tricked you by not providing the 3rd installment Contracts and that you want a refund back....or you plan to sue them.....
rofls and lols......
they may feel bad for you and give you a free coupon for Contracts.... lol

i wonder, how come they had a hitman collection including absolution, but contracts was not inside this bundle???
I wasn't even aware that the game Hitman Contracts existed at all when I bought the bundle, and the game was not available on the market anywhere so it was not available for purchase at all. The game was pulled from the market at some point because of copyright violations in the music or something like that and was off the market for a year or so (would have to look up the details). I didn't find out about the existence of the game until January when it got added to Steam and I looked it up and found out it was an older title then googled around to find out about the legal problems it had for a while. Not long after that it showed up on GOG.com also.

So there was no trick, the game was not available for sale, and even if it was a company is legally free to sell collections of games that include or exclude titles however they see fit at any price they wish to really. If I had known of this game though I might have decided to hold off and wait for an even more all-inclusive collection at a later date for the same or similar price. :) Not a big deal either way though as I know that I'll be able to name my maximum price and get it for that price, the only unknown is the date of purchase, the retailer, and the distribution platform. :) GOG preferred, but I've got the entire collection on Steam so no big deal to pick up a Steam key somewhere if the price is right too.

I suppose if there are no sales in between now and then, it might show up in the Fall promo perhaps as a flash sale item or however the next promo works. I did set up a watchlist alert on isthereanydeal.com to keep an eye on the price at all retailers though so I've got put out a contract on this one! LOL

mortalkombat: well, the best you can get this game at (GOG.com) a future point is at 2,00 usd....considering 80% discount of the 10,00usd....and for that you will have to wait for a sale (like christmas sale)......considering that you might not get the game as individual but the whole collection at 80% discount

at steam is currently 3,00usd (-50% from 6,00 usd)

i want Tales of Monkey Island for my collection only (i had the game but dont know where it is now)
thats why I m not willing to pay 35usd to get it but....since it is on sale, im willing to pay 3,50usd to grab it

skeletonbow: $2 for Hitman Contracts non-bundled on GOG would get a buy from me in any promo, possibly even $2.49 which is approximately what I paid per-game for the rest of the series elsewhere so I'd go for that if it comes up. Not in a rush for it though either although I'd have grabbed it today if it was in a flash sale instead of the bundle. I suppose there's a chance of it in a flash sale in a future promo for 80% off too.

Yeah, great discount on Monkey Island too. I pondered getting that one but am really trying to exercise even the slightest amount of restraint and force myself to keep under $2.49 on any one title, which I think I've done on the whole summer promo so far. Keep telling myself... "There are always future sales..." :)
if you want Tales of Monkey Island for:
a) to play it (now or sometime in the future)
b) have it for your game collection (+ its DRM-free + easy install)
c) for both of the above reasons
now its the time to get it
35 $ => 3,5 $ you not gonna see that ever ever ever again.....

I just tried gifting one of the Sam & Max (I own all of them) and I got the bundle price.
Someone who already owns all the Hitman could gift it to you at the bundle price, in exchange for something else perhaps. I don't have any of those or I would volunteer.

you should also buy the Bundle/Collection of the series....
otherwise the games become unplayable at your pc....

Naw, games always have price drops over time and gradually lower their regular price. It might take 6 months, a year, 2 years, 5 years, but prices always come down on games over time. We live in a world of recurring deep discount promos now too and people expect 75-80% off deals on games to happen so... they do. :) The key is just having patience and the more patience one has the better the deal can be had. Of course the more eager one is to play a particular game sooner than later the more one may have to be willing to pay for it or to act on a current deal that comes up, but I've got a lot of patience personally to wait out game pricing on just about anything these days. :)

This particular game seems to be of the rare breed that has some regular price stamina, but sooner or later they all succumb to the downside. :)

A buddy of mine is all apeshit over the Batman games and was anxious to get Origins when it came out for $60. I convinced him to wait it out and it has only been about 8 months since that game came out and I've already seen it on sale for like $6. I bet in another 6 months it hits $3 or so. It's all about the patience... oh, and the huge backlog to fill the time in between. :)

Thank Grargar. He was talking about it in other thread. Although I was not sure I understood what he meant until I tried it a few posts ago.

Typical, he's one clever kitty. He's good at winkling out these kinds of things. :)
Can anyone redirect me to where all the previous flash sales are listed thus far?

I remember one member in here who provided such a link (I unfortunatly closed it tho :().

Thanks a bundle again IAmSinistar! As I mentioned in PM, if there's anything you'd like in return for your generosity that comes up just let me know too. My game shelf is on gogwiki to help determine any games I could pull the same sales trick on too. :)
