With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Branais: Thanks heaps for the spreadsheet — both those who put it together, and those who posted it. ;-)

But I'm confused ... there was some talk about hoping the Sierra bundle would come back around ... but from the spreadsheet, it looks like there never was one. Or have I missed something?

It does look like I can relax now about missing sales. (Except maybe the freebies. But since I'm in Australia, they seem to happen in the wrong quarters of the clock for me anyway.) One more bundle to buy, and the sheet tells me when that's up for grabs, and it looks like none of the titles remaining on my wishlist for now are in the sale anyway.

Still, I've done very well out of the sale so far. Many thqanks to GOG !

(Yeah, who wanted a social life anyway ?! ;-) )
I read a post about someone missing it and I was bummed being a huge sierra fan but from the spread sheet it does look like it was never an option.

Someone else posted a list and it had gobliins bundle (flash sale) on it and that is not on the spread sheet either. My guess is most of the lists with the except on the nicely done one are not completely true or maybe a bit of wishful thinking.

cmdr_flashheart: Important question: is GOG going to have a sale next summer (2015)? Please fucking say yes. I hate myself.
avatar
Ophelium: There's been one every year as long as I've been here. The format may change, but there will be a sale.
Thanks, that's reassuring.

Ebany: I sometimes gift stuff but normally (since I have multiple computers handy) I find it easier to open a browser on a couple of systems. But even when tyring to shop for my main account, it's hard trying to find the games not currently owned. I might spend 1/2 on my slow ass internet trying to open game links.

Your ideas good, but I find the wishlist a slow and laborious method of expressing a troublesome account quirk they're already aware of. Plus, no-one would vote as they wouldn't understand what I was on about :)

skeletonbow: I've got 296 games in my library and it only takes me a few seconds to skim it in alphabetical order so while I strongly prefer having the "Owned" flags too, for the 5-10 seconds of inconvenience a few times per day it isn't a big deal for me. They're already redesigning the entire website etc. for GOG Galaxy launch anyway and likely to provide improved algorithms for dealing with that sort of thing for the benefit of the galaxy client so it'll probably benefit the web frontend also. Just speculation on my part, but makes sense to do that than wasting time adding bad hacks to existing code that might never be used again if Galaxy launches before the next major promo event. :)
I've got over 700 and a real slow internet connection, The minutes it takes me are group by multiple's of 10 :)

Also, Galaxy will be optional. Many people like myself will purchase through the website as opposed to the client. Though I do agree that I'd prefer their time spent pushing out Galaxy instead of tweaking their code for their web site. Then again, what if the UI uses similar database coding. I'll crash under the weight or retrieving everyone's achievements :)
Darn, and Magrunner was on my wishlist! Shows me for spending a day off the internet.
I may be the only one, but seeing Strike Suit Zero DC at 80% discount makes me feel that the 85% discount coupon for already having bought the standard version is a joke. If it was stackable, at least... but hey, I save 1$!

Missed the freebie?

The people talking about the Sierra bundle were primarily referring to <i>this</i> "Quest for Sierra" bundle from the big annual Holiday Promo in December of 2012.

Though there have been two other major (60%-off or more) Sierra bundles since then:

1. The "Superb Sierra Selection" from GOG's last Summer Sale in June of 2013, and...

2. The more widely-inclusive all-Activision "Winter Quest Fest" weekend bundle from January 17-20 of this year, which obviously (and annoyingly) came right after the big 2013 Winter Sale had ended, which meant that many had already purchased those same games at a higher (though still 50%-discounted) price only two weeks earlier.

Thanks Eli, that clarifies it. It didn't occur to me that people would be talking about offers from two years ago! ;-)

EDITED TO ADD:
And thanks for the link to that bundle. Yeah, if they put that one up I'd leap on it, even though I have most of those titles already for my Amiga.

What you got over 700 games!!! Is that partly due to this sales?
avatar
Branais: Thanks Eli, that clarifies it. [...] And thanks for the link to that bundle.
You're very welcome. I'm glad I finally tracked-down and cobbled together a list of links to the big Sierra promos in a single convenient linkable post that I can reference later for future Sierra-hunters.

They come out like clockwork every 6 months, like they're turtles arriving on the tides of the sea of annual sales.

Matruchus: If anyboy is interested in Eador: Masters of the Broken World - its now available in a Humblebundle
avatar
Niggles: Come on. This wasn't necessary in a gog sale thread
As I said in the post above - its the first game with a gog.com key added on Humblebundle as far as I know. Besides, that game is not discounted in this sale and some people might wan't to get it and if they get a gog.com key with it - why not.

avatar
Sage103082: From what I read the 29th will be the last full day of sales.
avatar
Maxvorstadt: In the email I got, it says the sale will go on till the 30th of June. Where do you have the info about the 29th from?
Yeah the sale ends 30th of June at 12.59 GMT after what was written in the email and not on 29th. But I do understand the meaning from the forums since the last day of the sale starts on the 29th and finishes at 1pm on 30th.

*snip*
You can also choose between a Steam or a GOG key if you buy Retro City Rampage or Defenders Quest from the Humble Store AFAIK. But this is the first time i saw a game with a GOG key in a HB bundle.
Cmon, put a Stalker game on sale! If not, Steam will have it on sale soon.
