The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
Am I just missing The Witcher 2 flash sale everytime it shows, or did it happen only once ?

madth3: Oh, sorry. It seemed like a convoluted method to get the discount when you already have some of the games.

Shambhala: It is, but that's the way GOG works: he asked how to get more than one bundle with a single purchase, and that's the only way I'm aware of.
I think Grargar worked out an easier way:
1. Pick the bundle you want (using the banner image and not the green button), if you already own some games they will appear grayed out.
2. Select "Gift entire pack". This will take you to the checkout page.
3. Click the GOG link in the header to go back to the frontpage. The selected games will remain in your cart.
4. Repeat 1 and 2 and do the checkout when you're ready.

IronArcturus: How is that Unepic game? I read that the screen can be small during gameplay. Did they ever add a scaling option?
They added a zoom in option in one of the recent patches I believe.

JudasIscariot: It's not too dark humor-wise, actually :) It tends to skirt the surreal edge of humor but it's more coherent plot-wise than the sometimes obtuse (at least for me...) yet still fun Jazzpunk :)

Truth be told, I'd compare it to something like a Tim Schafer game, such as Stacking, but with a sharper tone as there are moments when the main character and the supporting cast tend to poke fun at the drudgery of everyday life :)

JinseiNGC224: That doesn't sound as dark as I thought it to be. I was thinking there were moments that morals went out the window and made you let someone die. I'm also an animal lover and tend to get hurt when seeing animals die in games more than they have to. That's not saying any of that is in Stick it to the Man, but let's just say I have a hard time playing some games like Lucius or Overlord, to say the least. I'm just not an evil guy ;D. Something in the trailer sparked the idea in my head that it was actually darker than the trailer elaborated on.

I do though like the music and textures. The voices are pretty good as well. I might stick it to my collection ;)

Thanks for the advice!
Well, there is one animal in there that has been harmed but it was in the past and apparently before the events of the game actually began. Then again, there's a guy who thinks he's Captain Ahab or something in the game soooo yeah....

SandyKoala: Sorry if this is a dumb question (or has been answered before), but what do you mean by prevention of abusing the freebie? I just tried to find out more about the game (reviews etc), and it is not available at the moment.
If one could get the game via the traditional route (go to game card, click on "add to cart", go to checkout page, check the gift-box and checkout), it would be possible to hoard dozens (or more) gift codes for it, which could be sold later for profit.
Happened with the Fallout games GOG gave away for free, hence they've changed the way they do freebies

It's an excellent MetroidVania style game. I would highly recommend it.

I Think you just missed it. I bought the game a couple of hours ago for 3.99. :)

You missed it but don't worry as I'm pretty sure it'll turn up at least once more.
Holy hell this deal: http://www.gog.com/promo/summer_bullfrog_bundle_240614

Only owned DK1, picked up the rest for <$9. Wow.

Of course I'll probably never play any of these, my modern game backlog being what it is, but it just feels good to have such classics in my library >_>

VultureDude: if I own a single game from the wing commander collection, does that mean the entire bundle has to be gifted? or does that mean that only that one game is gifted if I purchase it?
avatar
MadyNora: If you own something from a bundle, you won't buy that one with the bundle, but the full discount applies for the rest.
Are you sure? The price it quotes is the full price of the bundle for me. Am I being forced to buy gift copies of the ones I already own?

It's a platformer RPG with some Metroidvania aspects, but I wouldn't call it an actual Metroidvania since you don't actually get new abilities to let you access previously unaccessible areas - you find actual keys instead :)

And yes, it's quite good, though the humor is too juvenile for some (but not me!)

I wasn't aware of this method, thanks :)
Anyway, I would say both are useful, because if you own already almost every title of the bundle removing the ones you already have from the basket may be more tedious than adding the few you are missing.

Ahhh... of course! Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense now!

Pidgeot: Amnesia: The Dark Descent hasn't been up since Monday.
Thanks, guys!

KittyKay: I'm considering getting the D&D bundle because I got Neverwinter Nights when I pre-ordered W3 and it would be nice to round out the collection, but I've never played a D&D game before. If I get the bundle then I will likely have to call it a day on the sale because my wallet is about to hogtie me and shove me in a closet, so that being the case is it worth getting the bundle or should I pass and wait to get other games?
I would say get it, because at that price, it is basically a theft. ;)
