The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
The start page currently lists "The 11th Hour" for being part of the flash sale starting at 3pm Central European Summer Time. At least in Germany, the first hour of new a day is called "ghost hour" ("Geisterstunde"). That would fit The 11th Hour.

But maybe the thing with the tentacles was a hint for a release of Ruse... >:-)

LordCinnamon: Picture+file name (`great old clock') suggests something from the Cthulhu mythos, but the name could be a red herring, I guess.
That's all I got, sorry :P

Indeed! "the stars align!" is a very used phrase from the Cthulhu Mythos! (used in novels, pen & paper rpg's etc.) :)

The stars align.. to reveal hidden horrors. So, what Cthulhu mythos related games are there? I don't actually know of any besides Elder Sign, and that doesn't warrant a timer :P

Indeed, on Twitter they tell us to think "Older", and Cthulhu is a Great Old One.

So this will just a another generic classic release and nothing special. Are any of those Cthulhu games older than 1993(DOTT)?
The picture also shows two lights (or eyes) over the clock.....

Anyway, I bet on Shadow of the Comet !
I just remembered that I have Cthulhu Saves the World in my Desura backlog. I should play it someday, before the worst of CASE NIGHTMARE GREEN arrives...
Wow, how did you find those..
Image reverse-engineering? XD

Although I'll be glad to see these games on GOG and buy them at some point (when my backlog has been reduced a little), I must admit I've got some difficulties in qualifying them as something more special than the other oldies released on the site (which is meant in a positive way since I really like the service provided by GOG and the DRM-free alternative it provides).

Since I'm an optimistic (and happy - close win Yesterday - yes, I'm Belgian) guy, I'd go for something really special and cross my fingers for Days Of The Tentacle Deluxe Edition with the soundtrack and a poster of the development team disguised in green tentacles (except for Tim Schaffer who will be disguised in a purple one for not giving GOG keys to the Broken Age Kickstarter backers :) ).

EDIT: fixed some typos. Not enough sleep, too much soccer on TV.

This is GOG: the release of a classic is always something special.

sorry, they explicitly confirmed it isn't going to be Day of the Tentacle on twitter!

I know, saw it on twitter but it allowed me to complain about the lack of keys :)

By the way, since I'm soccer-minded, congratulations for the most beautiful goal of this World Cup (the first one van Persie scored against Spain) and good luck for tonight.

I wouldn't exactly call Alone in the Dark an obscure title. ;) I haven't played any title of the franchise myself, since I can't handle horror games, but they are based on Lovecraft's writings. AND they are part of GOGs catalogue. AND we were expecting a giveaway. Hence my theory. :)

Lemon_Curry: This is GOG: the release of a classic is always something special.
The release of a classic is a more or less weekly thing, so nothing special at all. This entire industry is ripe with over promising and under delivering. Sadly GOG is no exception. A classic release, likely from before 1993 like we have seen before that is all we are getting. We are not getting Take Two, we are not getting Microsoft, we are not getting LucasArs/Disney, we are not getting ZeniMax/Bethesda, we are not getting WB Games, we are not getting Sega. Heck we aren't even getting NOLF or System Shock 1 or anything that basically ever gamer under the sun(atleast on the GOG forums...) knows about.

We are (likely) getting some classic that was niche even for its time. My expectations for things with count down timers are only getting lower and lower and lower with time. I bet it will not be one of the top 10 most wanted items on the wishlist. Heck I am almost certain it won't even be among the top 32! How the heck can you call something that isn't even in the top 32 "special" and "big"? Like I said in another thread GOG(and others for that matter) are really devaluing words like that.

If what we are getting today is "special" and "big" what would you call signing LucasArts?
