The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Pica-Ludica: That's not what I'd call "something special". That, my friend, would be a bloody miracle at this point. xD

I mean, I want the old Lucasarts classics here as much as everyone else, but now that a Grim Fandango port/remake/thingy was announced as a PS4 exclusive, I've pretty much given up on them. Indeed, why make old games available DRM-free and for a reasonable price when you can go the Squeenix route and port games on newer platforms to milk more money out of us faithful, nostalgic idiots? *embittered old goat mode*
Perhaps we just need to all chip in some money to hire Mark Hamill to fly a custom built X-Wing directly to Disney headquarters, sneaking in through one of the large ventilation ducts, recover all of the LucasArts intellectual property and then fly back out before dropping a couple proton torpedos into the Disney core and flying away, returning back to GOG HQ. :)

JinseiNGC224: Divinity: Original Sin is being released on the 30th of June, and that's the day the sale ends. Good timing, I think :)

Granted, some will be broke from the sale, but many others will jump on the oppurtunity to purchase it here.

That is, if GOG get's it on the 30th of June GOG's banner is pasted on the games website, so I would assume so.

Since I only pledged a $1 on Kickstarter I hope to pay for it Day 1!
concurrent gog steam release? is that confirmed?

But, but... Darth Disney and Grand Moff Iger!

It's a trap!!

It will also be the latest, and dare we hope last, in the GOG Regional Priced releases.

To clarify, it's for Vita and PS4, and Tim Schafer already announced via Twitter that a PC release may very well happen in the future. Having Disney involved may slow that up, as even at E3 they said "an agreement between Sony and Disney has brought Grim Fandango to consoles", it's probably contractual and will be back on PC's eventually.. In any case, Tim said this due to the outcry of upset Grim Fandango fans, and of course that sort of makes sense seeing it was originally PC. What I get out of this is that the big companies have recognized the interest in classics and they will most likely release them their way and on a limited platform basis. For instance, Square Enix released FF7 and 8 via their site and Steam with cloud saves and more, but they are not DRM-free.

The only good part is the fact that the classics are being redone ,and to those who don't care how they buy they can buy them But the companies are not getting the DRM-free picture. If the companies get enough positive influence, we could see more here in the future, from Grim Fandango to even Square Enix classics. Companies only do what they think works, but if enough interest was shown, opinions can change. They need to see the facts, as well as the charts, to see just how effective DRM-free is. They'd be better off selling the games DRM-free on every platform. Then everyone can be happy.

My crazy prediction for tomorrow's mystery extravaganza:

... a day-long ARX FATALIS giveaway!

*nods wisely to herself*

I'd settle for a nice(r) discount on Banished though. :3

I hope not! :) I want to see dozens more games priced $10 for some people and $890 for others, the forum threads are entertaining and I don't care what price GOG charges me either way whether I am $10 or the $890. I buy if the price is right for me and not if it isn't, and if someone gets a cheaper price than me, I'm happy for their bonus situation. :)

As long as the big titles flock to the site, I welcome our unfair pricing overlords and their games! Oh oh... am I being... "that guy"? ;)

we dare hope gog doesn't have any more new releases?
Considering Original War is being removed from the catalog on June 22nd, I wouldn't mind that as a free game giveaway tomorrow :)

Not regionally priced ones. Or is this the lead-in to one of the "those" conversations again? If so, I'm getting off here.
The special surprise tomorrow.. um... GOG's new MMORPG! World of Witcher Warsawcraft!

I sent the company a Facebook message about the Arma series being removed. I mentioned to them how the series, while it was on sale before being removed, were top sellers and many were going to miss seeing the series on GOG.

Not that this message had any influence, but it was a reminder that people here do care. A giveaway of Original War would be cool. Actually I scored it full price a few months ago. Kind of glad I did :)

I hope companies realize just how viable GOG is, but then I'm not completely sure why these particular games were removed. I just hope to see them back in the future.

Well, I certainly hope your wish comes true and every single GoG game will cost 890$ for you.... And all of us would be able to get them for 10$. Yeah, that would be cool.

Where/when was this announced? I somehow contrived to miss it. I may send a suggestion to GOG to put the notice on the game 'card' page as well when a game is being removed.
