The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

CrashNBrn: I saw Banished once, but I don't know if it appeared other than that. Was on Sunday at some point.
avatar
madth3: Mmm. No other person and not even the bot of Pidgeot registered Banished at any point in the sale.
Yeah I've been eying the sale for Banished. I don't think it's been on the front page, but it is 50% off. I might just have to buy it like that.

aristotle61: Is there anyway to know if Total Annihilation Commander Pack will come up again? I keep missing it!

skeletonbow: Not with absolute certainty, but if the flash sales continue every day to the end of the sale as we suspect they will, with games all maintaining a similar periodicity then it's high probability potentially. One of today's new bundles predicted to happen is the "Tactical bundle", however there's no way to know what games it will include for sure. That game sounds like it might fit within that category though so it's possible it might show up in the bundle although to get more than 50% discount you'd have to buy more than one game in the bundle as is the nature of bundles. :) There have been some thoughts expressed that games included in flash sales are unlikely to appear in bundles at deeper discounts, but there are many predicted bundles coming up which definitely have games in the flash sales so I wouldn't rule it out for showing up in the Tactical bundle. Only need to wait 2:55 to find out for sure though. :)

If not, I'm sure it is likely to pop up in the flash sales again eventually for ya. Good luck! ;)
Thank you for your insight.

ChocoboSlayer: Amnesia: The Dark Descent has been up twice, as has Machine for Pigs... Is it likely that The Dark Descent will make another appearance? *crosses fingers*
It's highly likely that every one of the games in the flash sale will make 10 or more re-appearances as they're repeated roughly twice per day at the current rate randomly. There may be abberations from that, but it's holding up well so far overall as an assumption.

Holy poop. So it's been confirmed this sale really is going through the 30th?

It was advertised as such officially from the very start, and subsequently confirmed probably around a dozen or more times by GOG in the forums so far. :)

PaterAlf: I predict that the special will be a day-long The Witcher giveaway. And I also predict a lot of bitching and whining, because many people already own it.
avatar
yyahoo: Personally, I don't think it will be the original Witcher. They gave that game away for a week, one code for every single purchase back in October of last year.

GOG has done a lot of giveaways. Have they ever given away the same game for free on multiple occasions? I'm not sure...
Torchlight, torchlight all the way...

So you're saying there is some small probability that the sale will continue till the end of the month?
;-)

Thanks for re-confirming one more time. :)

I feel a bit like a boob, but in my defense, it's been a rough several days and I'm currently multi-tasking at work (under a deadline). Just taking a few moments over lunch to slightly avert my gaze from the piles of work on my desk.

In every case though, good news.

Yes, where "small" means "absolutely guaranteed in writing by GOG from day one". :)

I only recall one Torchlight giveaway.

PaterAlf: Fallout 1 was given away for free twice. First time in april 2012 and a second time in december 2013 right before the series got removed.
True, although the second instance was under unusual circumstances...

It was given atleast 2 times as far as I remember.
Divinity: Original Sin is being released on the 30th of June, and that's the day the sale ends. Good timing, I think :)

Granted, some will be broke from the sale, but many others will jump on the oppurtunity to purchase it here.

That is, if GOG get's it on the 30th of June GOG's banner is pasted on the games website, so I would assume so.

Since I only pledged a $1 on Kickstarter I hope to pay for it Day 1!

Hmm, it was given away free during last year's summer sale. Scanning the posts, I'm quite certain that if it had been given away for free previously, people would have been complaining about it. All I see instead are people complaining that they had already bought it. I could be wrong though...

I bought it through the Early Access Programm on Steam and so far I had allot of fun with D: OS. I'm really looking forward to the full release! :)

Silverhawk170485: Hmm, "something special is coming" it sais on the mainpage with a countdown. What could it be?[..]

phaolo: Lucasarts confirmed? XD
That's not what I'd call "something special". That, my friend, would be a bloody miracle at this point. xD

I mean, I want the old Lucasarts classics here as much as everyone else, but now that a Grim Fandango port/remake/thingy was announced as a PS4 exclusive, I've pretty much given up on them. Indeed, why make old games available DRM-free and for a reasonable price when you can go the Squeenix route and port games on newer platforms to milk more money out of us faithful, nostalgic idiots? *embittered old goat mode*
