With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

D-ROCK: For those that don't have it on their shelf yet........System Shock 2 is on sale for the time being at a whopping $1.99!

skeletonbow: Clive Barker's Undying is a really awesome game. I bought it years ago in a bargain bin shrink wrapped together with American McGee's Alice simply because I am a big fan of Clive Barker and I was not let down. The game is very creepy feeling and well worthy of carrying his name attached to it. I love horror movies and horror themed games and this game had the hair standing up on my neck and arms a number of times. I think I might have even slept with the lights on the first time I played it, but I wont admit to that publicly. Oh wait... oops... :)

If you're a fan of horror games and/or a fan of Clive Barker, there is a strong chance you will enjoy this game, and $1.49 is well worth it for what you get in the flash sale right now IMHO. I grabbed the GOG version last year sometime as well and it was a good buy for a higher price IMHO.

Anyhow, I wouldn't feel right without helping others to try and avoid missing out on this one at such a good price. Grab a copy while there's still time left!

D-ROCK: I grabbed this last summer sale, but still have yet to play it lol.
I have a ton of games that I bought on here that I still haven't played yet. The only thing that I actually played is The Longest Journey and I still need to finish that one.

It's not just on GOG where my backlog exists, but also on Steam lol.
Man it is already 3:46am here. Luckily I have no university today but I don't wanna sleep until Deadly Premonition or Chronicles of Riddick showed up. Don't wann miss them again :/
One of the things I love best about this sale's format (which is overall the best I've ever seen on GOG), is that even overnight you know what's coming in the near future, so you can reliably grab 2+ hours sleep at a time.

I'm pretty sure I've already spent more this sale than I did during the Fall Insomnia Sale, and I missed (partly accidentally, partly deliberately) almost all the Spring Insomnia Sale.

Only thing I'm disappointed about so far is that there is no sign yet of any Sierra Game (save Leisure Suit Larry, which I will forever pass on). I've only got QFG and KQ1-3 so far, but would gladly pick them all up on sale.

I'll cross my fingers that they'll be a surprise...
Here we go Fract!

Also: Get Exchalon. GOG just does not have enough RPGs.
Playing Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance at the moment (thx again for finding the name!) and it is acutally quite nice :) Sure a bit button smashing heavy. And maybe a bit repetetive but for a game from 2003 not that bad to be honest. I expected it to be way worse than I had remembered it. But no it is definitly playable.

This game should be on GOG!

You know, I have been thinking about all that has been said about the sale so far. About how the same games are rotating, about how there are others yet to be seen, and about how we have so many days left with some days nothing definitive for them.

Here is a thought: What if the games in the flash rotation are themselves only on sale for part of the sale period?

In other words, we have this group of games currently in flash rotation, and then once a certain time has passed (like say the 19th), those are swapped out and a new fresh set of games are added to the flash rotation? The games swapped out would still be the default non-flash sale, but the chances of getting them in a flash purchase passed.

Sound plausible?

It's possible however they stated in their announcement that there would be 200 games in the flash sale and I think we've seen 200 games in the flash sale. They also said that there are other surprises, and of course they have the power to do more or less whatever they want so we don't really know. :) All we can do is take the words they said and trust them to be accurate modulo any new information they provide later, along with our existing observations and sleuthing in the community and make predictions from the information we have, and spice that with some rampant speculation. :)

Perhaps the flash sale will run until the 17th and then they'll do whatever surprise they have planned on the 18th (I'm guessing it might be a super all-bundles blowout sale like Dec 21, 2012 was, as it is one day before Steam's sale season starts so they could scrape as much of people's money away from Valve on the 18th by doing that), and perhaps they'll hold the surprise contest or freebie giveaway that they mentioned on that day also. Then, on the 19th the bundles come back and either the flash sale returns for the duration or perhaps they have some as yet unannounced alternative to the flash sale to ride below the daily bundles. I've just about wore out the flash sale of titles I'm interested in personally so I kind of hope something new shows up on the 19th. :)

They do a pretty good job with that ^^

You really think we have seen that many in the flash rotation? I know it seems like a lot of games came and went but not sure I would put it at 200. Was thinking maybe 100 to 150 max.

Man, this sale is finishing off my wallet...
By the way, EVERYONE should buy Deadly Premonition. It's one of my all-time favorites.
I prefer GamersGate than Steam directly, when possible. At least then you have a KEY thats not tied to your Steam account until you add it, plus 5% in 'blue coins'.
Edit: Question was answered in another thread.

What about all the negative points of it?
