With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our 2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

darkwark: Hope to see some classic quests bundles. Legend of Kyrandia, Police/Space Quest, MYST.
Do you guys think we'll see something like this on the next week?
Seems very unlikely as per JMich's list of all upcoming bundles decoded so far. There might be a bundle missing from his list however so it is hard to say for certain, and GOG can always surprise us with unexpected unknowns.
Does anyone know how the expansion effects Shadowrun Returns?

Is it self contained or will it alter the experience of the base game as well?

Edit:
To rephrase, does change Shadowrun Returns or can you only access the new content when playing the Dragonfall campaign?

Edit (Again): XD
I mean is Dragonfall like Diablo II: Lord of Destruction or Titan Quest: Immortal Throne in that the original campaign is also enhanced by having the expansion installed when you run it?

johnnygoging: how did we do that?

JMich: Magic.
21 = Gothic Bundle! ^_^

The_Blog: Really? I thought the 30th is included. So that the 30th is the last date.

JMich: From the email

The 2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale ends on June 30 at 12:59 GMT

JMich:
Rock on! Thanks for the info. ^_^

Well, I am now content after missing Shadowrun the last few times that it has been on sale. Donkey Shorts.
I was just thinking... the way the flash sale works is probably better for us than it is for GOG, assuming it continues as-is for the next two weeks. I say that because anyone who has the time can go over the list of all games we know are in the flash sales, and then poke their head in every now and then over a 1-few day period of time and potentially get every single game they want modulo work/life unimportant crap that takes them away from important stuff like game sales. But once we've gotten all the games we're likely to buy from the flash sales we'll likely just monitor the daily sales and engage in some community chatter perhaps.

If GOG was to put less games in the flash sale each day, but change the set each day, say doing 4-8 hour flash sales of 6-12 games each, everyone would have to come back for sure every day to not miss the opportunity and would possibly be more likely to buy more whimsically the daily deals? Just a thought. That would potentially be better for GOG but possibly not as nice for us. Hard to say though too. :)
Every 30 minutes I hope for Deadly Premonition to pop up D;
the offers of d&d will be repeated again? when....?

anwarblast: the offers of d&d will be repeated again? when....?
probably on the last day of the sale.

Possibly on the 18th also... in the past Summer sale there was a "Solistice" day (this year Solistice lunar even is on 19th) were all daily bundles were active. Thanks to JMich's research we don't expect any unique daily bundles on the 18th so it makes sense. Last day (29th) is likely too, like ElvenSquirrel said...

I'm curious about this as well. Looking into it there appears to be hints that Dragonfall adds at least subtle enhancements to the core game; but I haven't played it and am not 100%. Harebrain Schemes website indicates "Dragonfall brings a host of new items, characters, over 60 new portraits to choose from, and many other improvements to the Shadowrun Returns experience." Rock Paper Shotgun suggests skipping the vanilla Shadowrun Returns and just starting with the Dragonfall campaign.

If you don't have Rise of the Triad, fix that now while it's 75% off. It's a fun FPS and worth it if your computer can handle it. :)
I just wish I new what was going to be on sale

The list of all past and recurring flash sales that appear to be repeating until June 30:
http://birdiesoft.dk/summersale.php
The list of past and creatively sleuthed daily promotions which will occur until June 30 with a few minor unknowns:
https://secure.gog.com/forum/general/2014_drmfree_summer_sale_tracker/post1045

Many of us believe these patterns will continue through to the end of the sale unless GOG has surprises up their sleeve or alters the ordering of things to invalidate JMich and other's creative diagnosis and projections of the sale.

Hmm...thanks for your help
I like this better then the insomnia sale . In a way it is an insomnia sale but at least you can see what is coming up and when you should stay up for it.

Yeah, although I imagine with the community side website reverse engineering going on to decode future aspects of the sale, the Insomnia sales might become more predictable in the future also unless GOG decides to obfuscate their web code more with hashes and other tricks to keep us guessing. Not sure if they will care that much or not, they might even get a kick out of people decoding it. :)
