The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

darkwark: What do you think guys is there a chance that PLANESCAPE: TORMENT will be on Flash Sale with more than 50% discount?
Non-existent. It's not part of the flash deals.
But the daily deal of D&D games should make a return, either on the 18th or the 29th.

That is why I hope the D&D Bundle will be back, it is in there.

D&D Masterset 80% OFF
Baldur's Gate 1-2 + Planescape: Torment + Neverwinter Nights 1-2 + Icewind Dale 1-2 + The Temple of Elemental Evil + Dragonshard + Demon Stone
$21.10 ($105.90)

The_Blog: Then you won't get the 80% discount I think.
avatar
IronArcturus: Yeah, I looked into that. The discount deal didn't work if a person tried to buy the games individually from the bundle. It's a shame that there is no way to combine bundles. Maybe GOG could fix this in the future.
Worked for me, I added the Age of Wonders games individually, in with 3-4 other flash game sales in my cart.

Couldn't it reappear on the other days too? Since there are always 2 daily deals and so far they only found one Bundle for each day. Except for the 18th and the 29th.

One?

How is Assassin's Creed? Does it run well on Windows 7 64-bit? Is it compatible with an Xbox 360 controller?
do you think the journeyman project gets a bundle? would be bad to buy 1 single game and then see there is a bundle :(

Yes to both.

IronArcturus: How is Assassin's Creed?
Repetitive. Some like it, some hate it. Interesting story though

IronArcturus: Does it run well on Windows 7 64-bit?
Didn't have any trouble. Some people have mention trouble if they don't have internet, which may have something to do with the GPU, or the game itself.

IronArcturus: Is it compatible with an Xbox 360 controller?
With a wired one it's compatible out of the box, for a wireless one you need an extra file. Check the subforum, there should be a couple of links.

gandalf.nho: As a flash deal not, as a dailie, maybe
If JMich's sleuthing of the upcoming daily deals is correct, Banished would not fit into any of the per day game series bundles nor the company specific or genre specific ones that were determined from now to the end of the sale. There is however a number of flash sale graphics backgrounds that were discovered which have not yet turned up in any flash sale, while every single flash sale that did come up so far was one of the graphics that were figured out. This strongly suggests that Banished will turn up in the flash sale at some point, however since we've went through the list of 200 or so games or whatever it is in the flash sale so far and it hasn't came up (along with about 5 or 6 other games that were on the list) it is not known how it will fit into the flash sale. It could be an oddity that is thrown in on a random day or a few random days, or it could be a temporary freebie promo (they did state there will be freebies in the flash sale and we haven't seen any yet). This leads some people (myself included) to speculate that Banished might be one of the flash sale freebie promos, however we will not know until if and when it happens. Another possibility is that out of the 200+ graphic images that were found and since confirmed to have been an accurate list of flash sale games except for the 6 or so that haven't turned up yet, that they are files mistakenly left behind in the directory that are not actually going to be used.

I'm banking that it will come up one way or another though since all predictions made so far about the graphic images found have come true. There's only one other variable at play, which is that because of the sleuthing that has been done to figure out what is coming on sale when, that GOG might wake up on Monday and redesign the order or content of the sale and do it in a more covert way that we're not able to puzzle solve in advance and ruin the surprises. :)

We'll find out in time either way...
Looks like Megabyte Punch is coming up next! This one is very fun in split-screen local co-op. -_^

If you haven't already picked it up I'd recommend it. ^_^

Here's a thread that contains info about using a 360 controller with AC:DC (AC:DC?)

I've read the original AC forced users to be online to play it. But wasn't the always-online feature taken out in the GOG version?

Close to zero I'd say because it is not on the list:
http://birdiesoft.dk/summersale.php
Not on the list of flash sale image backgrounds that have not showed up yet either. However, it was part of the daily bundle on the first day of the promos and GOG has a past history of repeating some or all of the daily bundle deals at least once if not twice throughout major seasonal promos, often once in the middle of the sale, and once as an encore at the end. I would recommend holding out on buying any of the D&D games right until the last day and if there is no repeat of it as the sale nears its end, then you can grab it for 50% off still or wait until the next blowout sale in 3 months (D&D games always come on sale every 3-6 months or more).

Hope that helps.
