With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

phaolo: Currently tempted for the Nth time by Driftmoon, Hammerwatch, Drod.. dammit!

Siegor: I bought it on a sale and completely ignored it until my wife played it and forced me to try it out.
Loved it. The game makes you feel like a kid again.
Damn, 2 good reviews already.. so I should probably buy it.. wallet! Are you still alive?

trentonlf: try to buy the bundle as a gift and when it takes you to checkout go back to main page and you can add whatever games you want. If wanting to add another bundle leave your cart open and open main page in another window and add it and both bundles and all games should be in cart.
I own both of the bundles already so it automatically flags them as a mandatory gift order. Going back to the main page shows the cart as empty/gone, and adding the other bundle brings me to a cart with just that one bundle in it also flagged as a gift. I never tried doing it all in multiple tabs simultaneously... lemme try that...

Nope, doesn't work here at all. Does it actually work for you or were you just positing it as something to try out? If it works for you, perhaps it only works if you don't already own all of the games or something... dunno. :) I did however look at the web page source and think that the shopping cart behaviour can be modified to not do this with a greasemonkey script. I'd need to study it more though.

soavio: I did try it and it worked. I even posted a pic of it before. Attached again here:
Very strange. Totally doesn't work for me, not sure what the difference could be.

Add the games individually. Discounts should apply properly. Same way it works on most sales.

Oooooh, Summer Sale!

Thanks GoG, I love it, I hope I get the flash sales I lost the previous days...

By the way, A quetion: I just bought Shadow Man, along a free game (Warsow) found while browsing the site, then I checked my games and lo and behold, I had FOUR new games. GoG gifted me Shelter AND Machinarium! Is it normal to have more than one freebie during a sale? Or should I contact someone if it's a bug or something? O_o

I tried to buy one game from a bundle instead of all of them and it took the bundle discount away and was only 50% off

THAT is interesting.
So far we don't know how freebies work this sale I think. Looks like you get them through purchasing.

If a sale is "Buy all for 80% off, or individually for 50% off", then that is the behaviour you encounter when adding a single game individually. No idea about current bundles, since I will be getting the biggest discount either way, but that was how it worked the previous times.

Check the purchase date for Shelter and Machinarium, in case you had bought them (or being gifted) before, then check for the email receipt. Unsure if you do get free games this way during this sale, so confirmation (either way) would be nice.

That kind of makes sense because my preliminary skimming of the web page source suggests the current cart behaviour people want to avoid is linked directly to the bundle buttons on the main page, but the back end code recognizes individual purchases in the cart that comprise a whole bundle to be the actual bundle, or that's how it appears anyway. Probably would take less effort to write a greasemonkey script to modify the page code though if buying multiple bundles over time that way. :)

Well, They weren't in my checkout so I surely didn't pay for them! xD I just went to download SM and found them with the "new" icon. I guess GoG added them on the shelf once the purchase had gone through... Oh well, I won't complain, ahah! Perhaps you should all check your shelves after a pruchase to see if you got some freebies, if this is the new way to hand them out. :)

Correct, the games are 50% individually, or if you buy all of the games in the bundle you don't already own you get the steeper bundle discount price, which is one of 2 ways the bundles normally work on GOG.com. The other way sometimes used in bundles is small discount for one purchase, and increasing discount as you add more and more games from the bundle to your purchase, with the full discount for the full purchase - although that usually only happens on huge bundles of 10+ games, and even when it is done like that, you often spend less money buying all the games than just buying the ones you actually want. For example I've seen it where I want 3 out of 6 games in a bundle I don't have, and the price for just those 3 games is more expensive than if I buy all 6. It depends on what you own already and the specifics of the particular bundle deal of course, so it pays to experiment with the cart before purchasing in order to get the best deal. That only applies to the variably discounted bundles though of which we haven't seen any yet this promo.
i missed carmageddon 2, any chance that it's on again? :(

Yeah but you bought Shadowman. That is what I mean. That there is a certain chance of getting freebies when purchasing.

Flash sales seem to be repeating, so you may get your chance again.
was there a deal on Panzer general?

...Ok, I checked, it seems GoG bugged up and put them as "NEW" when in reality I had bought them in the Spring Sale... *embarassed* >.<
I forgot 'cause I got an -enormous- backlog and I usually just buy things in bulk and promptly forget about them since my job is pretty exausthing.

Sorry for this, ahah. *slithers back into lurking in shame*
