IAmSinistar: Bought, thanks. Obviously it will be on sale at some point down the line, but I want to properly compensate GOG and developers for bringing games here that I am interested in.
You need to add it to your regionally priced games.

Really? That's sad. I guess I should moderate my "reward the devs" response in future.

http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/myst/myst.htm
Unfortunately, it doesn't. That site, while excellent, only refers to Myst, Myst: Masterpiece Edition and Real Myst. It makes no mention of Real Myst: Masterpiece Edition. Although, I do thank you for the attempt.

Anyone else have any insight? I haven't had much luck trying to search it on my own.

Really - it comes with a FPP of $3.90 for me. You shouldn't be surprised though, it's not the first 11 bit studios title that was released regionally priced here - SPACECOM is also $2.90 more expensive for me.

IIRC, Grargar pointed out that they're flat priced on their own site though.

Yep, i was out and just catching up here. ;-D
Nobody should be denied the experience of Myst. Check your PM's my friend. :-)

Another avenue would be to check for youtube reviews or comparisons. I'm sure that Real Myst: Masterpiece Edition should have at least a handful of those.

My main concern is really more about whether it is worth it to buy if you already have the standard RealMyst. Others have mentioned that it rarely goes on sale, but not really if it's worth the price to buy a game thrice. While I do enjoy Myst, I don't enjoy wasting money. Sorry to be so annoying with this.

From the Wikipedia page

"Myst: Masterpiece Edition was an updated version of the original Myst, released in May 2000. It featured several improvements over the original game, with the images re-rendered in 24-bit truecolor instead of the original Myst 's 8-bit color. The score was re-mastered and sound effects were enhanced, and some cinematics were redone.

realMyst: Interactive 3D Edition was a remake of Myst released in November 2000 for Windows PCs, and in January 2002 for Mac. Unlike Myst and the Masterpiece Edition, realMyst featured free-roaming, real-time 3D graphics instead of pre-rendered stills. Weather effects like thunderstorms, sunsets, and sunrises were added to the Ages, and minor additions were made to keep the game in sync with the story of the Myst novels and sequels. The game also added a new Age called Rime, which is featured in an extended ending. realMyst was developed by Cyan, Inc. and Sunsoft, and published by Ubisoft. While the new interactivity of the game was praised, realMyst ran extremely slowly on most computers of the time. Robyn Miller expressed frustration with realMyst, saying: "I only saw realMyst after it was released. As a remake, it was a lapse of reason and directionless; overt merchandising of the original Myst. It definitely wasn't how we originally envisioned Myst, as was promoted.

realMyst: Masterpiece Edition, a visually enhanced revision running on the Unity engine that also includes the graphics of the original Myst game, was released on Steam on February 5, 2014."

I think it also has the extended Rime endng from the original Masterpiece Edition

No, that's perfectly understandable. Who really wants to triple dip on virtually the same product. It is better to be a smart consumer about these things. I cannot give any insight however because I've only played the original classic version. Anyway, goodluck!

From what I've read it is not if you own Real Myst, which is already a remake of the original Myst.
You will be playing the same game again with 'improved' graphics that get very mixed reviews.
My personal choice was to stay with Real Myst 'regular' edition. ;)

I'm humbled and embarrassed, Lynette, always kind and large-hearted. Makes it even more embarrassing that my finances don't allow me to be as giving as you and several others here are.
May the universe bring a billion more good into your life to repay a tiny ounce of your thoughtfulness.

Also a big shout out to foxworks for surprising me with a gift from my wishlist; cheers, pal, as always - you rock!

Thanks, but only the very last sentence is about RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition and it doesn't really shed much light. I appreciate your taking the time!

Thanks! I appreciate the effort regardless!

Much appreciated. I think I am going to take your word on this one. It's a bit pricier than I usually like to go with these sales, so I'll sit this one out for now at least. Thanks for sharing your opinion! This is what I needed. ^_^
Nexus: The Jupiter Incident is now on sale for 1.99 (80% off), next game on flash sale will be Clive Barker's Undying
One aspect of the summer sale we've yet to see is the flash sales going into overdrive on some days, i.e. more games cycling in at once. (Was 6 instead of 2 back then.) Wonder if we'll get something like that for the weekend?

Okay, I might have made a mistake there - its these months of darkness, they can dicker with a norseman's body clock.
