That Blind Guardian song is going to be stuck in my head all week now. But yes, Sacred 2 is awesome.

Waking Mars is now a flash deal for $1.99 (80% off), the next game coming up will be Torchlight

I was pleasantly surprised by Waking Mars, even though I don't normally like the 'managing things' type of game. The graphics look really nice and I liked the characters. Even the planting thing was fun.

Torchlight is now on sale for $3.79 (75%) off, next game on flash deal will be FTL: Advanced Edition

Ah yes the game everyone was waiting for, if anyone misses this one then do let me know. :P

It turned up a lot in bundles for a while, then seemed to be permanently on offer all over the place. Its like the developers never had any real faith in it and wanted to almost give it away (and did just that at times). Odd, really, because its a nifty title.

FTL coming next? I am so jumping onto that one like Guts onto an apostle.

A strange mix of roguelike and strategy. I have no idea if I will like it or not, but the game sounds strange and interesting enough to me.

I would contest your statement by saying that it's a legitimate marketing strategy to get gamers to buy the sequel.

You're probably right, but the amount of times it was free or going cheap smacks a bit of desperation. Maybe its all a part of a Runic Games master plan....

Some desperation or necessity might well play into it. I hear that torchlight 2 was significantly more expensive than the first. Thus the need for a quick cash grab by making people interested in the franchise with a free game then turning them into paying customers with Torchlight 2. Yes they lose profit from the freebie but that game has already run its course and paid for itself.

It sounds convoluted but in the dark land of Mord... I mean accounting, stuff often is.

On other news: I missed Sang-Froid. Does anyone know wether the games will cycle like the last flash- sale, or this time they will be a one time deal?
