Stilton: Its strange, but the longer I spend on the forum the more I feel I know the people I'm talking to - individual personality comes through in the writing to a certain degree, which I find I rather like. The downside of spending so much time here is that I begin to put that personality together with the person's avatar and it gets to the point that I think they actually ARE their avatar, that that is what they look like. Please tell me I'm wrong and that everyone out there is just as normal as me (I really am a Viking, by the way, honestly).
I do associate the avatar with the user, which makes it disconcerting when the people I am familiar with change theirs. To me the avatar is the "flavour" of their personality, especially when one is well chosen.

katya_stevens: Oh, there's no need to worry. I'm not a horned reaper from the Dungeon Keeper games -- I just killed and skinned one. Keeps all my imps motivated, I tell you, the heroes suitably petrified, and believe me when I say that no other horned reapers have ever caused trouble in MY dungeon, for they know what fate awaits them if they do.
Phew, that's a relief. I thought I was going quietly barmy. Now I'm off to polish my long boat.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not a cat.

Its odd, but somehow that is disappointing...

I do something similar, and start to associate people by their avatar. It's hard to keep track of soooo many people, and that's why the avatars are so helpful. When people change their avatar after a long time, sometimes it's hard to "recognize" them! That's why I'll probably stick with Feena as my avy; so that people will recognize me :) I had to make an exception during the Halloween season, though ;D

Its a nice image, but you look a little sad or maybe bewildered (I put the latter down to all of those games screaming to be bought!).

MaxFulvus: Edit : Thanks ToxicTom for your complete review. I think it's the kind of game I may enjoy with its flaws... and it's an interesting thread. I didn't know it :)
You can download a demo from the Two Worlds Website and try it out (even in French). I like the game, but sadly the English voices are really bad. The voices in the German demo are much, much better. It's astonishing how much that can change the game atmosphere. So I still hope some day GOG will also add the German game version. Maybe the French voices are also better than the English ones.

I'm not really a Ranger from WW2. But my Grandpa was! (Although he was 6th Battalion, while my avatar depicts 2nd.)

Thanks ! I heard the French voices were as awful as the English ones ^^
The only game I don't have from the Bullfrog promo is Syndicate Wars, and it's cheaper than a cup of coffee!
Is it a nice game?

I haven't played it myself, but I found this interesting and useful in making up my own mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqO4iQCm8sM

For better or for worse, my whole existence in the physical world is indeed what you see - a wide open, never sleeping eye.
Bullfrog bundle looks promising. I think I'll give it chance :)

Now that's what I wanted to hear!

If you turned the image upside down your expression would look completely different - kind of alarmed...
Cannon Fodder 2 - $1.49 (75%). Next is Windforge.
