Stilton: Has anybody had experience with the Syndicate games? I've been looking at them for a while and they seem to be rated fairly well from what I've seen here and there. Are they worth a punt? (And why)
I played the original Syndicate on the Amiga, it's quite good. It's squad-based isometric strategy, and you can have multiple things happening at once. The cyberpunk setting means that you can modify your agents with implants, and even tweak their chemical levels to change their behaviours. You can also abduct people to turn into new agents. The missions are suitably varied as well, from assassinations to corporate espionage. I recommend it, if such games are your cuppa.

^^ This. Although I like the PC version better: higher resolution and better animations. And the Amiga version could get pretty slow, too. On the other hand the last levels were a lot easier on the Amiga...
Stronghold Crusader HD is off for 75% ($2.49), next game on flash sale will be Consortium Master Edition

Thanks for the info. I'm looking right now at a YouTube piece showing Syndicate mission 1 and I like the highly 90s electronic look and feel quite a lot. I might even prefer its isometric view to the 3D view of the later Syndicate Wars. As to whether its my cuppa or not, I'll need to let it brew a while, but it looks intelligent enough to get into and enjoy. More investigating, I think.

Enebias: Well, maybe Medal of Honor, but I'm not too sure about that game

ddickinson: Well now is your chance to find out, check your PM :-).
ddickinson! Don't force me to block you during promos! XD
I know this is all a plot to vanquish the Evil Anti-Gift Corps!
Two Worlds is currently in a Flash Sale. I procrastinate to buy it for a while but do you think I should wait a Two Worlds bundle with a more interesting price like the last Insomnia or grab it right now ?

Well, I didn't play the game, so I cannot say if it is good or not... yet, discounts do not get much bigger than 80% very often! :)

Its already really cheap - personally I'd get it now and if it does come along in a cheaper sale just commiserate with a dozen or so bars of chocolate - I find that always works ;-) (you can make it two dozen if you need to...)

I went to have a look at this, thought it sounded familiar...was in the Groupees Be Mine 14 bundle. Second time I've not realised I already have a copy of a game elsewhere -- too many unredeemed bundle games.

I wrote some of my impressions here. I don't know if they are helpful for you, it really depends on what type of game person you are.
Well, It's only day two. I can wait a bit more, just to be sure there is no TW bundle. Better to grab the serie in one time.

Edit : Thanks ToxicTom for your complete review. I think it's the kind of game I may enjoy with its flaws... and it's an interesting thread. I didn't know it :)

MaxFulvus:
Considering that Dreamfall: TLJ and The Longest Journey have both showed up as Flash Deals, I wouldn't be surprised to see Two Worlds 2 show up to compliment Two Worlds. It's just an assumption, to be sure, but I think it's likely to appear.
Consortium: Master Edition, The: 80% off, $3.99

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault On Dark Athena is next on deck.

I should have thanked IAmSinistar and Pidgeot (and Pidgeots script bot! ;) ) for this yesterday but thanks to your tracking I was able to see I didn't miss any of my big wants coming up - cheers!
