CarrionCrow: Also, getting Zombie Shooter marked as "done, now never touch it again" is a good thing. (Also also, there was a third crash to desktop before I beat it, so frigging hooray for doing the same mediocre level 4 times in a row.)
I think I quit Zombie Shooter when I had to start the same level for the fifth time, because I always got stuck when I accidently opened one of the chests.

Well, I would say that odds are quite good in regards to that having happened to you. Especially since that also happened to me a couple different times while going through the game.
I hate to do this, but I know we got a lot of traffic here from some gaming elite that I think might be able to help me out, as I'm in snooty flight sim / hardware territory here!

If any of you have played B-17, and have a good idea of flight stick issues (assigning buttons to the stick, etc), do you mind checking in the B-17 subforum? I have an issue RE: Assigning buttons to a flightstick and giving Autopilot control back to the A.I.

Again, really sorry to interject (well, not really - I DO want to get this issue resolved ;) ) but I was hoping someone here might know. If not, how's GoG support? I tried to contact but I needed to upload a file - is there a big deal to doing that? Any compelling reason I shouldn't?

Thanks!

And here I was ready to unwind for a few hours pre-Thanksgiving (the Turkey Day, for non-US folks) seeing as I'm not cooking, and this goes and happens! ;)
Mentioning this here because others have been playing Escape Goat.
To you, if you haven't beaten the primary game yet? A warning.
It gets harder. It gets SOOOOOOOOOOO much harder.
On room 1 of a section called Death Row, and dear gods is that title fitting. I've lost count of how many times I've died on the first room, I've been playing it for over 2 hours, and it continues to mercilessly kill my silly ass. Pretty sure I've now died hundreds of times, probably over 300, all in the effort to piece together how to avoid each of the deathtraps the room possesses.
Totally DID NOT expect a teethgrindingly, hairpullingly hard platformer to be just underneath the candy coating surface of a lighthearted puzzle game where you play a goat with a mouse companion.

So, it's a game that really "Gets Your Goat" huh? :-O

-laughs- It's a game that pisses me off enough that I'll keep with it until I win and it gets deleted, never to be played again. ;)

So after beating and deleting it you will start this game? :D

Has to bleat this one first. ;)

Already thought about that, and yes. Unless there are a lot of bundles with items I've yet to retrieve, I figure I'll have the sequel by year's end.
Might even have the first one beaten by then.

-groans- That's what those "screw you, I'm going to make you feel pain" levels need - an optional soundtrack where an announcer makes goat-related puns every time the player gets killed.
That'd probably be enough to send some people right over the edge. =)

Especially if they were really baaaaad puns. ;)
Edit: OK, I'll stop now.

That would be the kind of thing that would lead to an increase in the sales of either speakers or mouses or keyboards because of the urge just to smash something at that times :D

-laughs- Yeah, that'd probably do it. Course, there's also something to be said for hearing the same music loops when you're stuck on a particular level for hours on end. That kinda starts to screw your head up as well.

That would be understandable, but that's the kind of thing that this game will use to kick your ass even harder. You can't spaz-flail your way through any of it. As soon as you stop thinking and get really mad, it pays you back by killing you even harder and faster.
Also, can't do that because I'd be cutting into Winter funds if I started breaking peripherals. ;)
