Hi, everybody !
I'm a bit lost ; did GOG change the Insomnia Sales way of functioning ?
So we now know in advance what sale will be next, and how long it will last ?...
Doesn't it depend on the numbers of copies to go, anymore ?...

GOG decided to do more of a Winter sale-type of thing, rather than the Insomnia sale format. No limited copies for this. Almost everything's half off, then there are bundles each day as well as flash items.

ddickinson: I found MOH enjoyable, but in preferred the original Call of Duty games set during WW2.
I felt the same way back when the games first came out, but I recently played each series' Warchest, and was surprised to find that I enjoyed MoH more. I still felt excitement and tension when playing MoH, but was just bored with CoD (United Offensive being an exception.)
I think it has a lot to do with the little things. Lots of little details like the animations, the sound and feel of the weapons, the details in the level design. These types of things made the game feel more "alive" to me, while CoD felt like it was made of cardboard.
Simply put - I felt like MoH has aged pretty well. It doesn't feel like a 12 year old game to me, but CoD does feel like it is 11.
/my thoughts and opinions for the night.

By the way, you kick ass, as always. + for generosity.
was crusader on flash sales too? i guess it wont be?

does someone have a list what was on flash sale? :)

thx gog.com

Pidgeot: Yeah, that seems to be the problem. It should be fixed; will clean up the data shortly.

EDIT: Data cleaned, but there's something wrong with the system for not reposting the same thing twice. Entries may be duplicated for a while until I fix this...

EDIT 2: Everything should be working properly now.
I seems that something went wrong again, starting with Sacred Gold (Ends Thu, 13 Nov 2014 06:38:59 UTC). The script page again shows only the base discounts, not the flash discounts.

Here's a great post by CarrionCrow that summarizes all the manually collected data.

And BTW, thanks for doing this, especially for capturing the regional prices, which would be too much of a mess to collect manually.

Most of it was done by Sinistar. Filled the gaps after they signed off for the night.

Haven't seen any repeats yet, so that isn't a full list yet. It's possible that what you want might show up later.

AdamR: ...
Good point, I can see where you are coming from. I think for me, part of the appeal with Call of a Duty was that you got to play as different nations in different settings. No offence to the lovely Americans here, but it was nice to play as British and Russians, instead of always stuck playing Americans. Call of Duty felt more global and showed how vast the European and Russian theatre of war was during the Second World War. Not that MOA is a bad game, as I said earlier, I enjoyed it, but for me, I preferred the variation offered in Call of Duty (I loved the RAF bombing mission in Call of Duty United Offence).

Not a problem, you're welcome. It doesn't have the frenetic pace of Insomnia, but it's easier on people who have to do things like work/go to school/sleep/leave the house for longer than 20 seconds at a time.

That was probably the highlight of the series for me. Incredibly fun!

(edit - I just noticed right now that my avatar is from MOH:AA. I completely forgot...)

It was one of the highlights for me as well. It was something I had never really seen in a WW2 FPS before. It was only a quick mission, kind of like a mini-game, but it was one of the best parts of the game. It was so much fun collecting Luftwaffe badges as you downed their planes, then having your crew getting killed, your aircraft torn apart and then finally getting blown out of the plane at the end. So much fun. Only in a game of course, it must have been so horrible for RAF bombers during the war. I know they had a high mortality rating, partly due to the precision bombing, rather than just random bombings of occupied territory.
