Guess I'll grab those discounted but not featured games now.
Not sure if I should ask here, but... Alright, if you had a choice, would you recommend Sam & Max or Mount & Blade?

I've heard good things about the latter series, but Sam & Max (from what I recall) rarely goes on sale like this!

Hardly rarely. In fact, there was a similarly high discount at the end of June and then at the end of July. I also wouldn't be surprised if it showed again on Christmas as it did last year.

Oh, huh... I suppose you're right. So Telltale/GOG does put these games on sale now and then...
Good morning/afternoon, everyone.

Guess it's time for the postmortem. Can't remember the last time I wanted a sales format where I was fortunate enough to grab a lot to go away so much....

Well, without new bundles, it's time to wrap my purchases. Not buyed much this promo:

Mount and Blade bundle
Cossacks Anthology
Stronghold HD
Crystal Caves
Hmm... so nothing really great... Guess I'll need to see if I can spare enough money to grab one or two games from my wishlist with the 50% discount tomorrow.

Good morning to you too!

See? All your troubles and anguish have ended. :-)
Hmmm.
Bought 48, gifted 11, received 11, 18.75 out of 22 presented bundles complete, 470 overall.

Stupid frigging sales format....the garbage pacing really screwed with what was a pretty incredible sale otherwise.

Yep I agree here. I think if the whole sale had been done in one week instead of dragging over two it could have been quite good. Of course Insomnia would haven been even better ;-)

Hey there. My timing is, to put it bluntly, shit. But as soon as possible, I will be sure to greet your public wishlist with something. And now that I can see what you actually want, I won't have to settle for something like trying to gift you Fahrenheit when you already have it. -laughs-

I couldn't believe the Summer Sale was slated to run for as long as it did, too! I think it's just the "nature of the beast" - GoG has to account for a lot of users over many timezones and with different levels of *ahem* dedication to the site ;)

I know I love to constantly peek in on a Flash Sale and see what's up, plus I hang out in the threads. On the bright side, I'm pretty sure I'll rarely miss a deal (though I had a funny "sweating it out" set of moments during the Summer Sale - let me know if you want to hear ;) ). On the down side, I see a lot of what the sale has to offer early on.

In the end, I'm glad they last as long as they do because the most number of people get a crack at a Flash Sale. Plus I'm biased because I can just "hang out" in these threads once the actual sale gets a bit boring to me (though really, even after I've seen games it's still fun to agonize over $1.49 title I'm seeing for the 8th time - it's so cheap... but will I ever get around to playing it... but I mean that's like not even a coffee... on the other hand I haven't even played game X and that's one I really wanted... ;) ).

On that note - how's that adventure bundle? The Wadjet (sp?) one? I'm not a point and click person, especially an "old school" one (once in a while I'm sucked in by one with gorgeous visuals and a different / unique story). The reviews seem good and I like the off beat subject matter. Things I don't like in adventure games: obtuse inventory puzzles (The duck combined with a hamburger will NEVER, EVER turn on a broken light! Your game is stupid for making me think it should!).
I decided to go through the entire game list and see if I bumped into anything interesting. I'm not completely through yet, but I did see a new pre-order item that was never announced:

Mount & Blade: Warband - Viking Conquest DLC

Considering the recent addition of the Mount & Blade series and its respective bundle in the current sale, I thought this might peak the interest of some people here. I'll be sure to report on anything else I find as I dig through the catalog.
