I should just embrace liking what I like. =P After all, it's kinda fun when you surprise people: I flew to the US on Continental and as I am vegetarian but don't want to forgo dairy, the only viable food option for me was to choose a Hindu meal. The flight attendant gave me shifty side eyes every time they delivered food for me, asking if someone in my row really had ordered Indian food.

See, I like RPGs and Hack'n'Slash -- I'm a stereotypical GOGger, woohoo. \o/ I find them to be pretty good stress relief when things get crazy in RL.

I think there are a fair number of teachers around. I love teaching abroad because (depending on cultural context) your students are so motivated. Mine want to study at university in an English speaking country, so I meet everything from eager high school seniors to professionals going for an advanced degree.

Just fine old chap. I say, will you be passing by the club later and have a nice game of backgammon, or total war?

Also, I earlier saw IAMSinistar's debating about picking up The Pit: Gold Edition just to get it "owned" and thought: What an idea! Also means I won't have to worry about installing the games and patches in the right order for all the content it covers. Edit: Turns out there is only the one entry in owned list, containing all the individual components just like before. Ah well, at least now I will not have that annoying indication that I do not own it (was worth the discounted price just to get rid of that).

I noticed several GOG members talking about putting their wishlists on GOGWiki -- how does one get there? I just tried searching in Google and within GOG, both to no avail.

I take it you haven't attended the discussions on crystal versus coloured soda. Those were bloody, the forums were filled with the lamentations of the women.

And pointless since it's abundantly clear that coloured is the superior form.

The educational differences between cultures is a fascinating thing. I've worked in a very nationality -diverse Intensive English Program, so I've seen it all, from super motivated to only show up to class to keep their funding and their visas. The differences between what different cultures teach/ emphasize in learning/ ask for behaviorwise in the classroom is fascinating (and very challenging in courses where those different cultures all come together).
