madth3: Mmm. Honestly?
GOG can't seem to get the technical implementation of one sale properly.

My first thought at reading your proposal is a wave of bugs and 404s.
I know I give them crap about silly stuff like seeing games at both the top and bottom of the flash rotation, but if they were willing to try, I'd be willing to fight through Atlas bear to support it. Hell, it's pretty much a given to see that at some point during Insomnia. Goes with the territory.

CarrionCrow: As a compromise, it'd work somewhat, but the overall speed would still be lost. If you're looking to crank people's reactions up to higher levels, you need something faster, more of the risk of loss (which can then turn into either elation at beating the clock and getting the item, determination and a reason to stay connected to the sale through to the next round, or yes, all kinds of frustration).
Insomnia went for three rounds, three full rotations of all included items, for both the Fall and Spring versions.
Maybe a good compromise would be to have a flash sale, but mix in the occasional insomnia type sale, where a game appeared only very briefly among the regular flash sale games. I thinks it's a hard thing to balance, if a person prefers the insomnia sale, then nothing but insomnia will do, but for those who prefer it slower, they may be deterred from an insomnia sale. Maybe GOG should do a flash sale for the first 3/4 of the sale, to allow regular users to pick up some games, then have the last 1/4 as insomnia, with some new games to spice things up.

madth3: You should preach by example.
:-P
And give people the chance to gift me games? I can't do that, I prefer to give gifts, not receive them. Plus I would lose my title as the ungifteable :-).

ddickinson: Speaking of buying people games, I still don't see your wishlist on the GOGwiki ;-).
I would have thought about putting it on the Wiki but you didn't provide any guarantee that you would post your wishlist as well, eventually someday is a very vague amount of time so I agree with madth3. Plus everyone's SGS seems to be in overdrive right now. ;)

foxworks: And in turn a PM for you.
+1 Mr Cheese Biscuit, I knew you couldn't resist gifting either as always. :)

You are an absolute darling! Thank you SO much!
With this wonderful gem, I am now one step closer to owning all of the point-n-click games on GOG! ^_^

donsanderson: Just received a GOG email:

Nov21 48-hour big fall flash finale
250+ flash deals 30 at a time.

Nov23 48-hour big fall bundle finale
22 bundles back on sunday
Unless I'm mistaken, this means that ALL the bundles from the Fall sale will be available for the last two days. Right?

Edit: I was hoping I might get a final chance at the AD&D Bundle.

Well you see, it's such a scary thing, and I would feel much safer if a big, strong, and brave man like you went first, to make sure it's safe ;-). If you manage it okay, I could consider following your example, once I have a complete wishlist of course.

Oh yes, the legendary one day. And on that mythical day, I will show my wishlist, and GOG will drop regional pricing ;-).

Funnily enough, I think I'm heading for that achievement too. Enjoy. :-)

Haha...a lot of strong men and brave women have paved the way already, so you don't need to worry about it being safe. Also there is no such thing as a complete wishlist really since you're always adding to or subtracting from it. I want you to offer more then just the prospect of consideration to coax me, also ladies first. ;)

Unfortunately for you I'm an equal rights kinda girl, so I'm fine with men going first, in certain circumstances, wishlists for example. I think that wishlists are definitely a gentlemen first kind of thing. Besides, I asked first :-).
