Tekkaman-James: Good morning, all!

A certain blue-eyed kitty purrsuaded me into getting my wishlist up on GOGwiki. It's fairly small at the moment, partly because some of the games don't have a wiki entry and partly because I realized it was WAY past my bedtime. I will try to tweak it a bit more today. In the meantime, be gentle. ^_^;

Glad to see another new title come through, but the rate of new arrivals leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully today's bundles will at least have some good stuff in them.

EDIT: Holy cow! It seems like we're in for a purge. Hold onto your seats, everyone!
Seeing as I convinced you to broadcast your wants on GOGWiki, allow me to take care of one of them for you. Check your PMs. :-)
What if GOG had put each flash sale game on for just 1 hour, instead of 5 hours? Would that be a good compromise between the flash sale and insomnia sale? It would allow people to make the purchase, without being beaten or have the site crash, but would provide a faster pace for those wanting a faster paced game. They could even just show one game for that hour, meaning 24 mystery games each day, and maybe only a few repeats over the course of the sale. (Did the insomnia sale repeat games? Or was each game only shown once?)
Mmm. Honestly?
GOG can't seem to get the technical implementation of one sale properly.

My first thought at reading your proposal is a wave of bugs and 404s.
This sale is better than sleeping pills.

foxworks: I think I'll pass. I like my breakfast to stay put ;-)
A breakfast of cheese biscuits and coffee I presume. ;)

stg83: No wonder you find this sale boring, I own two games from the current crop. :P
If you include the games I bought for my brothers to play, I have 5. I don't think I've ever had a sale where I own the majority of them, accept maybe adventure game sales.

I am not really surprised since you hardly ever buy games for yourself. :)

Games repeated 3 or 4 times.

As a compromise, it'd work somewhat, but the overall speed would still be lost. If you're looking to crank people's reactions up to higher levels, you need something faster, more of the risk of loss (which can then turn into either elation at beating the clock and getting the item, determination and a reason to stay connected to the sale through to the next round, or yes, all kinds of frustration).
Insomnia went for three rounds, three full rotations of all included items, for both the Fall and Spring versions.

What else is there? :p

It's more fun to buy them for other people :-).

Speaking of buying people games, I still don't see your wishlist on the GOGwiki ;-).

IAmSinistar: These Flash Deals don't have nearly enough Flash.

Ha! Well, it sure looks like someone pulls these deal out of their @$$. ;)

foxworks: Now there's a movie that needs more love. Glad to see they released it on blu-ray. :)
Love that movie so much! I didn't know they released it on blu-ray... dammit. Now I'll have to get a duplicate copy, because my Savior of the Universe Edition DVD box is just too spiffy to get rid of. If only they'd add the extras to the U.S. versions that the rest of the world seems to get...
high rated
