Every time I see Pathologic appear, I persuade myself not to buy it.
It has really great reviews, but it also says that the English localization breaks it, possibly beyond repair.

So, I'm throwing it upon to you forumites. Surely some of you have played Pathologic in Englsih. Is it as bad as they say? Should I not bother? Should it remain one of the greatest games you've never played? Or at least until I learn Russian?

I'm going to leave my typo as it's apropos, I think. ;)

trusteft: What will happen with allt he titles that are not part of the flash sales but are sold at reduced prices, usually around 50%? Will they too stop being sold on reduced price in 48 hours?
A quick look at a game like System Shock 2 (which appears on the "Latest Deals" banner with a 50% discount), says 3 Days and 22 Hours, so, no, not really.
Here comes Abe's Exoddus again. I just bought it two hours ago. I need Abe's Oddysee now. C'mon GOG, make it happen!
avatar
foxworks: Let's hope because everything under the sun, except your title, is appearing. Even titles from a few hours ago. :/
Hope quashed. The next three titles are verbatim from the list. Which puts my wanted title at around 18 updates away. 18 x 40 minutes = 12 hours, so maybe I'll get it some time before midnight. Assuming GOG hasn't already shuffle it out of the mix.

Have I mentioned how much I am not impressed by this sale? :)

It will be enough to wait till the remake with proper English will be released (which should be according to their recent Kickaster November 2016 +/- a few years as usual).
You certainly wouldn`t like to play the current version here on GOG, unless you are fluent in Russian, as the translation ranges from "almost OK, at least the meaning of the sentence is clear" to "incomprehensible Google translated mess without any sense".
Which is a shame really, because otherwise it is one of the most original RPGs of the recent years, with a lot of interesting gameplay mechanisms.

Latest from Facebook:

"The Big Fall Sale finale we promised is here! Going on sale now are 27 games you loved, and 230 more are on their way over the next 48 hours. The shortest sales are just 40 minutes, so you’ve gotta think fast!"

So say we all :D

To each their own... I've gotten 29 great deals in this sale. Yes, it's gotten boring for me the last few days with constant repeats, but I experience the same exact thing with every sale that lasts more than a few days, specifically the Insomnia sales (at least sales like this one have the daily bundles that offer some new hope each day). It's the same story for anyone who has a large GOG catalog. What we have to remember is that not everyone has such a large catalog and not everyone has been here every day of the sale. We are the exception, not the rule.

I think that was implicit in my comment. I'm not calling the sale a failure, nor saying it sucks for everyone. I'm speaking for myself.

Fair enough

Edit:
Out of curiosity, how many games have you gotten in this sale?

I could do with faster still. But then I have a agenda. :)

The quest for Space Run continues....
You've got my sympathies. Was kinda getting pissed, until Stilton was generous enough to get me the Oddworld title I'd already managed to miss twice.

And yes, this could've been 5 minutes per if not less and it wouldn't have bothered me in the slightest. It still would have been tranquility compared to Insomnia.

And when I finally do get it, it will just go on the backlog. Probably won't even like it when I play it. Collecting is a sickness, I tell you. :D

First confirmation of the pattern.
