HypersomniacLive: *ding dong, ding dong*

Today's poem from our resident bard is a hymn to the community. Ready everyone?

Last night when it was really late and tiredness filled my head,
with eyes too dry so all that I could focus on was bed,
the deals were dragging on and on with nothing new to see,
yet all I hoped was very soon a deal would come for me.
Yet nothing came, and nothing came, the emptiness was vast,
so to the forum did I turn, which turned into a blast!
Such humour, friendship, common thoughts, all upbeat and sincere,
the people there made me feel so delighted I am here.

Please feel free to extend any and all thanks to Viking Stilton!

*ding dong, ding dong*
Very nice. ;)
My favorite word in the English language is 'conviviality' because it rolls off the tongue so nicely.
It is also the atmosphere I prefer to spend my life in, these forums (most of them) provide that.
Thanks for that and to The Bard for putting it so nicely into words. ;)

Tekkaman-James: Looks like Kingdom Rush is going to be showing up for the first time since Day 2. Maybe there's some life in this old girl, yet? Too bad I don't have any interest in it. :/
I'm not a Tower Defense fan, but this one surprised me by being actually fun. It has a good deal of variety to it, certainly value-for-money at this price.

Stilton: It isn't in any other post, its one of HypersomniacLive's diet of one-a-day prose. We have an agreement, you see, and I'm mangling words while sitting in my long boat and simultaneously rowing - something I believe Wm. Shakespeare didn't have to contend with. But there we are, ho-hum. I know my place.
That's no small feat! ;-D

Yeah but Shakespeare didn't have a tablet with speech to text to mount in the boat. :P

I've eyed this a few times but does it require lightening reflexes or might my 'molasses in January' ones do?

Niggles: WOW!!! Awesome!! *thumbs up* thank you!!! :D :D
Not a problem. If anything, I thank you deeply for helping me with the numeric annoyance I was contending with. =)

It does get a bit frantic at times, yes. It could do with the pause functionality of FTL, but there are ways of coping.

Incidentally, anyone who doesn't have FTL, get it. Seriously.
I hear that some of you are suffering during this sale. I think I found a possible solution to your distress.

Play with Sinistar!

Click here if you are interested in some history.

Or click here of you want to jump right at it.

Beware Sinistar is dangerous.
So, Mr Crow, now you've got your lot, what'll you be tempted by? Anything that might tickle your feathered fancy? There are some fairly good looking indies sliding slowly by (counter to our few days ago discussion about how indies are really not offering a great deal of originality to the scene, per se). Any of them even slightly tempting?

Thanks, FTL is a major challenge for me, I'll stick with that. ;)

Well, such items as Hotline Miami, FTL, Jade Empire, Deus Ex, Journeyman Project, the Oddworld series (again, you have my thanks for the first item in that series =) ), Pathologic and Mark of the Ninja have already struck my interest enough for me to have purchased them.

Also, I see what you're doing there....;)

Honestly, I'm already shifting gears a bit towards Winter. Need to update the wishlist, comb over the catalog for the umpteenth time, all that good stuff.

(And, you know, actually play some of the games when I'm not compulsing over buying more of them.)

Bear with me whilst I derail the thread for a moment.

I was just thinking about my birthday (back in May) and that my brother bought me 2 Steam Gift Cards as a present because he couldn't get a gift card for GOG ('cause they don't exist! >_<)

With the holidays coming up, it makes me wish even more that we had the ability to have gift cards for GOG. Surely they're losing a lot of money by not offering them!

If you agree that they'd be a good addition here, please take a moment to VOTE for the feature!

I now return you to GOG sales talk and ninja gifting XD

Link clicked, vote cast. Interesting that you mention this, I was recently at the local big-box store blight and wished GOG had gift cards available there that I could purchase.
If any Witcher EE owners (PC version) are wondering about the reminder for a non-existent update hanging around on their Account tab, its there because a Mac update is available and the PCers among us can't, for some reason, be excluded from the announcement. I just had a very pleasant exchange with one of GOG's GOGlodites who said he hoped it wasn't too much of an annoyance. If this has been stated before, please just pretend I'm a dim-witted relative, smile sweetly and pat me on the head.

EDIT: last line altered to prevent potential upset (didn't think, sorry)

I won't pat you on the helmet but has this been posted in the Witcher forum?

I was wondering why my screen and downloader keep saying update no matter what I do to make the announcement go away. Thank you for the info. =)
