Wurzelkraft: That puzzle bundle sure was tempting...until I realized I suck at puzzles. Ha!

PaterAlf: The good thing about puzzle games is that you really get better in puzzle solving when you play them a lot. So there's still hope for you. ;)
Any recommendations for some good games with easier, preferably logical and not trial-and-error puzzles for the start?

avatar
Grargar: Those pages don't help if you already have all the games. :P
I don't see a reason why I should log out. :P
I also don't see a reason to open the GOG site in two different browsers. :)
Then open the page in a new private window. ;P

CarrionCrow: Um....maybe a little bit. But on the bright side, I did learn today that my body metabolizes it slightly faster than average. Less than 6 hours and it doesn't feel like my heart's going to participate in the 100 meter dash without me. Anymore. So that's good. ;)

LynetteC: You're catching up with my caffeine immunity levels! lol

Singing at night, getting home in the early hours and having to get my daughter to school by 8.40am means I've developed a certain level of tolerance for Pro-Plus or Red Bull in combination with copious amounts of coffee over the years. The Insomnia sale was just another week for me!
Insomnia's always fun. Would absolutely love to see GOG run a dual sale. Have each account pick what they want to participate in - a slower sale like this one, or Insomnia-style.
I'll concede to your caffeination dominance immediately if you can drink Red Bull steadily. The stuff makes me physically ill ever since that incident with the No-Doz....
But by the sound of how active your life is, you've adopted to it all quite well. Hell, you even handicap yourself by doing things like tech support with long nails.

The Escape Goat series is by far my favourite puzzle series on here. Very highly recommended.

No need; I knew them by heart. :P
Anyone think Sim City 4 will go on flash at some point, or shall I just get the bundle? I already have 2000 so I dunno :/ (I know I get a discount for already having it, but I'm not interested in Capitalism)

Just get the bundle. It is highly unlikely that it (along with other bundled games) will appear as a flash sale.

Not if it's included in a bundle - you can just buy it on it's own at a slightly lower discount.

It's about 30p cheaper to get the bundle than SC4 on it's own lol. I'll just wait it out and see if it goes on flash, if not... meh I guess.

Cyraxpt: Wasn't Postal 2 on a flash sale today (or yesterday)?

Grargar: 3 days ago.
Uh, that's ok then, i was fidding it weird such a repeat so soon.
Looks like Pegasus Prime will be a lonely purchase.

Com'on GOG throw something interesting and properly priced in the Flash Deals!!

CarrionCrow: Okay, it's question time. (And yes, it's actually game/sale-related. Shocking, I know.) I've never had much exposure to Mount and Blade, but that bundle keeps calling to me. What do people think of the series overall?
I really enjoy Warband. I've never played any of the others. As far as I know, warband is an improved version of the original with multiplayer thrown in. If you have warband, I don't think there's any reason to play the original. I'm a Linux user, so Warband is enough for me.

One of my favourite parts of warband is that it can be played pretty casually. You can fire it up for a few minutes, or a few hours, and either way it's fine. I can also not play it for awhile, and still pick right up where I left off.

If you want a colourful review of With Fire and Sword, just ask Sachys (not-good).

Really? Wow, didn't realise that1 Yeah, in that case get the bundle!

Thanks! But I may need some time to get me to like the graphics of that game. :)

Okay, cool. Thank you for the info, much appreciated. =)
Also, I feel your pain on the -12. Any time the weather is just actively trying to murder you for the crime of leaving your house, it's horrible.

I'd go for it (I did, anyway). There's loads of content, you get to thump the angry unwashed, plus there's Viking Conquest DLC. What else are you going to spend the money on, coffee? Get stuck in.
