So....Journeyman Project 1's up. I grabbed it as soon as my laggy internet and GOG stopped conspiring to reset the timer. But I ask of you all - who is on the fence about whether or not to purchase it?

Crewdroog: ah, the longest journey. that is something I keep going back and forth on. Typically, I just don't play those types of games anymore (point and click), but you always hear such good things about it.

stg83: Yeah, it is actually the game that made me aware of GOG in the first place because I tried to get it many years ago but it was at first unavailable and then really expensive as a retail import. Then later on with the newer versions of Windows I was concerned that it would run properly and that is when I discovered that the game was being sold on GOG.

Even after that I didn't register on the website but it was always in the back of my mind. Then when I joined here last year it was one of the priorities for me to get the first chance that I have with a nice promo on it. Long story short I should probably get to playing that game as soon as possible. :)
My game was Bard's Tale. It wasn't working for me on steam, and I was annoyed. Then I heard about GOG and got it. Wound up hating the game. Although to be fair, I don't think I gave it a decent shot. I may try it again. sometime. in the faraway future.

So the one game you were searching for, you haven't even played yet? hahaha. I guess it IS easy to get distracted by all the baubles here. :)

Haha..yeah, ironic isn't it but the reason is that I also play games on console and I just got my PS3 sometime before I got the Longest Journey so I got distracted. :P

I just got my PS3 about a year ago, and YES it can be very distracting!

One of the things I hate most in this world is that gods-awful indecisive should I, shouldn't I feeling. Allow me to assuage that for you.

When you have a moment, please feel free to check your PM's.

I really liked the shortest Journey on PS3. It was a beautiful minimalistic game without any dialogue but it still conveyed a lot of emotion. One of the reasons why you can't ignore console exclusives because you could miss out on some really great and unique games. :)

ddickinson: […]

Of course I would do a nice thing, I think you're mistaking me for that dark persona of mine in the other thread :-). This lady is just normal me, all sweetness and light. In fact, I was about to ninja gift you The Journeyman Project 1: Pegasus Prime, as a little apology for getting you branded as some kinky fetish guy.

[…]
Haha, thanks for the laughs!

Please don’t, it was all just fun, I hope you’re not seriously feeling guilty*.

*(not that I expect you to. ;-P)

Ah, and look at that, Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is next! Seems to be my lucky evening.

If you don't mind me asking, why must you wait for another game you would like to appear before you make one transaction? Sorry if it's a nosey question.

[…]
Because I'm using a CC from a different bank this time and last time I tried to purchase a game I had to retry a couple of times, getting the “your bank has declined the transaction” message. I’m a bit worried the bank might block me and I hate being on the phone trying to solve things.

Just go ahead and scratch that itch, I promise you won’t regret it, especially if you’re an adventure fan. :-D

OMG yes!!! That game was brilliant, I swear I started to tear up at the end. I was really glad I got to play the game without knowing anything about it. So beautiful.
I agree completely on not poo-pooing consoles. I'm all about everyone getting along. Another game I loved in the same thread was Flow.

Huge thanks, and consider my ambivalence entirely assuaged, my friend! You are truly a red-eyed warrior amongst men! (although that may be from lack of sleep)

Is it real? Is it sleep-related? Is it because I keep demonstrating my Olympic gold medal-winning level of spastic incompetence in all things motor function-related, thereby frigging CONTINUALLY getting smoke in my eyes?

Only my optometrist knows for sure!

Additional - Damn you, stupid semi-broken update timer! Why must you keep trying to reset just because I attempt to refresh the page 14 times in a 10 second period!

Additional additional - timer stopped being broken after I said some frankly rather coarse things about its mother. Think it was too busy being angry with me to continue malfunctioning. As such, Oddworld - Abe's Exoddus is now up. 1.49, 75 percent off. Unmechanical to follow.

I was a little bit, that's why I asked before in the thread if everyone was talking the banter as just playful fun. But thankfully everyone seems to be taking it as some fun, rather than something mean. I was a little worried people would think I meant all the things I said. But that wasn't the only reason I considered the ninja gift, I alway wanted to say thank you for being a good sport and not minding being my poor victim :-).

What do you mean lucky day? I told you, I had a word with the Blues. :-)

Maybe if you ask very nicely I will see about more Star Wars games ;-)

You either need more coffee, or a solid blow just above your first cervical vertebrae. Personally, I'd put the kettle on ;-)
