yyahoo: Oh, I don't have Downfall yet (you should see the shock on my face). I guess I'll need to hold off on Cat Lady too! :)

CarrionCrow: You do now. Check your PM's. =)
You, my friend, are a gentleman and a scholar. Cheers!!

I've got some extra gift codes that have been collecting dust. I'll PM you a list. Let me know if you're interested in any of them!

Stilton: Can anyone gen me up on these Journeyman Project games?
[...]

foxworks: The adventurer in me loved it. However, I only played the second of the trilogy. I was a bit lost since I hadn't played the first. But, I felt the story was fun and the game an immersive experience when playing with headphones :)
Thank you ;-)

HypersomniacLive: Nope, your memory is faulty on this - the bundles came in pairs and each pair was live for 24hrs only too; it's been GOG's typical bundle sale format for the past couple of years at least. Perhaps the encores is what makes you remember them being up for longer.

Did you really do a nice thing for me? ;-P
Perhaps you are right, it may have been the encore I was thinking of.

Of course I would do a nice thing, I think you're mistaking me for that dark persona of mine in the other thread :-). This lady is just normal me, all sweetness and light. In fact, I was about to ninja gift you The Journeyman Project 1: Pegasus Prime, as a little apology for getting you branded as some kinky fetish guy.

HypersomniacLive: Now GOG has about five hours to bring out another title I may want so that I can make one transaction.

Off to make some coffee! See you all in a bit!
If you don't mind me asking, why must you wait for another game you would like to appear before you make one transaction? Sorry if it's a nosey question.

Enjoy your coffee!

yyahoo: I already have the others, but my faux OCD demands that I play a series in order
Off topic - I gotta take a minute to thank you for saying "faux OCD".
Honestly, for years I've heard too many people say they have OCD because of little quirks that most people probably have. Anytime I hear it I get offended and pissed off. Real OCD is a horrible and crippling thing, but the acronym has lost all meaning.
So thanks for being the first person I have seen to add the word "faux" before it. That is something I don't have a problem with. +1 for being aware and considerate of mental illness.

That was exactly my intent with the statement. I'm glad that it did its job. I don't like to minimize the seriousness of any disorder, but I do like to joke around about some of my bizarre quirks. +1 to you for understanding.
The journeyman project is about to appear! Good!
The last time I had a few doubts, so I missed it because the time ran out. After a bit of research, I think that it is indeed worthy of a purchase!

By the way: have some of you fellow GOGlodytes already played Brutal Legend? I heard it received mixed reviews, being bashed for all its faults in the gameplay department, but also a lot of praise for the whacky and excellently written dialogues (and let's not fogregt about the soundtrack).
If you wouldn't mind, could you please give me yor opinion about it?

From what I can recall, it got a lot of grief because it turned out to have a lot of RTS-type gameplay that seemed to blindside people. Tried it on the console, then got reminded that playing RTS's on consoles is like trying to tap dance after having land mines blow off both my feet. Just bought it here so it can have a fair shake with a proper interface.

Crewdroog: had in mind? so it hasn't worked out that way? :)

stg83: It has worked out fine but the big discount on Dreamfall certainly caught my attention although I dillydallied too much on whether to get it or not, since I haven't even gotten around to playing the Longest Journey yet. :)
ah, the longest journey. that is something I keep going back and forth on. Typically, I just don't play those types of games anymore (point and click), but you always hear such good things about it.
was shovel knight on sale? did I miss It?

Indeed, the RTS came out of nowhere. At the time I kept losing and didn't really want to take the time to figure it out and continue the game. Fast-forward several years later, I gave it another go and finished it. I thought the game was a lot of fun, but the RTS element can be frustrating at times and was my least favourite element from the game.

Shovel Knight has not been on any flash or bundle sale. It is also not a part of the standard overarching sale.

Additional - Journeyman Project 1 is up. 2.99, 70 percent off. Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus to follow.

Yeah, it is actually the game that made me aware of GOG in the first place because I tried to get it many years ago but it was at first unavailable and then really expensive as a retail import. Then later on with the newer versions of Windows I was concerned that it wouldn't run properly and that is when I discovered that the game was being sold on GOG.

Even after that I didn't register on the website but it was always in the back of my mind. Then when I joined here last year it was one of the priorities for me to get the first chance that I have with a nice promo on it. Long story short I should probably get to playing that game as soon as possible. :)

Wow it seems like you're on the longest journey to eventually someday start playing The Longest Journey. ;)

Its certainly not that long for me as I have had it for a little over 8 months now. :)
