CarrionCrow: Don't worry. I switched it from Barbie Girl. I switched it to....this....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXOKPRqIEwc
Sharing that with all the good people here because it is frigging amazing. If you listen to that, a part of you will die, only to be replaced with something....different.

LeoLR: Well... part of me died. I'm still trying to find out if anything was put in its place. Suffice to say that if I had listened this when it was released I would have become a very different person.
Oh, it's there. It's silently growing in the darkness of the newly created void. Also, that could be said for all of us. Such is its power.

RWarehall: I wonder what tomorrow's bundles are going to be? Anyone wanna bet? ;)
Age of Wonders and Broken sword at some point, if I were inclined to bet. No entry in either series is up for standard sale.

LaPtiteBete: Well... since I'm at work, unfortunately I can turn the sound on... I wonder if it's a good thing or not...

CarrionCrow: It's absolutely safe for work, I assure you. If it weren't, I'd be certain to label it as such.
Going back and forth on the Sim City pack, picking up Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 to complete the series. Already have almost everything else on offer.
Ho, no doubt it is safe... but I'm not alone (we're 4 indeed), and I'm not supposed to play any music :) but working hard, yes... I do. ... "Half hard", okay, I admit. But it's Monday...

Tomorrow's bundles... well. I'll see wargames (like "blitzkrieg" and whatnot). And horror games. Yes...
I was being a bit sarcastic. Tomorrow is almost definitely Sam & Max and Sim and Prosper. They have not had their day to shine as yet...

LeoLR: I would like a Broken Sword Bundle.
Ho yeaaah... Broken Sword !!! :D

So, tomorrow will mark the half of the sales... Do you think there will be completely different flash sales after that ? Like a second set...

Oh-oh... danger time...

Up until now I've been very controlled, very restrained, mindful of the finances and have chosen only the games that feel justifiable purchases for some reason or other. But now I've hit that point that come along in every sale where I'm less of all the above and I just want to buy everything in sight.

I need help, please, counselling, sensitive and thoughtful aid from those around me who have suffered through the same problem and overcome it.

If ever I needed to feel a part of this community, it is now......

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPP!!!!!!!

Ah, I am assuming today is their day. With a possible repetition at the end.

A number of these bundles are GOG standards, so a look at previous bundle sales should give us an inkling of the likely ones to come.
Usually, they repeat them twice, but these seem like very small bundles. For example, HoMM but no Might and Magic. A few series not even discounted like Age of Wonders and Broken Sword. It could be a second set, with all bundles repeated last day, but we'll have to see. Figure we will know Wednesday which will either be repeats or new.

Okay. I'm here to help. (Disregard the shaking, giggling and talking to myself. It's the coffee. Honest.)
Step one - Know your budget. Games are wonderful, wonderful things. But you can't eat them.
Step two - Prioritize. If there's something that calls out to you beyond all others, odds are it'll be worth the coin. If it's a general cacophony of "wouldn't you love to have ALL OF US on your shelf at once?", then think of gaps you might have in your collection. I just bought Sim City 4 and 2000 because they fill genre gaps that were missing in my stockpile.
Step three - Consider the future. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and nothing sucks more than your cash hitting its limit well before the last day is done. More stuff is coming. Always have to keep that in mind as well.
Step four - Disregard everything I just said and go nuts until you're eating ramen noodles in a blissful game-induced stupor for the next week or two.

Think of all the ale you have to restock, the new helmet you need, the polish your ship needs... and then push it all to the a very tiny dark corner in the back of your mind and BUY GAMES!!

Did that help? ;-D

They threw me off by relisting all the bundles today. I would have expected that tomorrow, since mid-week is when people will be able to begin redeeming their stamps, and also when GOG is likely to change up with a new set of bundles. I'm not sure why they did the recap a day early.
Evil Genius...NEW!!!!
Maybe it's because I already own most of the games, but this sale seems, well, dull now. I've been spoiled by GOG's more engaging sales, I suppose, since sales aren't necessarily required to be enduringly entertaining across their entire run.

Stilton: HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPP!!!!!!!
just one word: BACKLOG. if you think you have enough, you know deep inside that you don't need more games *right now*. else... man, if you don't have a huge backlog, you definitely need more games!!!

(that's what I'm telling myself.... that sim bundle is staring at me for too long )
It almost feels like they are holding stuff back for the Winter sale.

Me too. I've been kinda "meh" since most of the games I would be interested in, I already own. And it just doesn't move fast enough for me to check more than a couple times a day.
