Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

I predict that this year we will see a day featuring all sales NOT voted in, instead of a repeated of sales that were run.

I wondered what will happen to all the deals that do not get voted in. Considering the amount of haggling and dealing with publishers/developers it seems doubtful that GOG would just excuse the discount altogether. A down voted sale day will allow GOG to satisfy vendors who have agreed to a sale and also appease those fans whose favorite game wasn't voted in. I doubt GOG got the Settlers people to agree to a rare 75% off discount then will just shrug it off as unpopular and tell those developers the sale they agreed to was just a no go.

Also, another win would be that whiners wouldn't be able to complain there are just repeats (because technically the sales would all be new).

I was wondering of that might not happen as well. Will be a sweet, if expensive, day if so.

IAmSinistar: Hurm, a good point. Sorry, I already voted, but perhaps some other folks will see this and close the gap.
Do you think it's even possible to close the gap?

Buenro-games: You will see the reroll option tomorrow. If you missed it already once you rolled once and logged out of the page, it disappears. Look for it tomorrow.
That makes it also sound like an evil trick to stay logged in until the end of the year.

Possible, aye. Likely, nae. Still, holding out hope that GOG does do a "sales that didn't get voted" day somewhere in all this.

ALH: Anyone else having an issue with the daily gift today? At the moment i'm getting the infinity circle.
LOL. I hope you all figured out that it was because tens of thousands of people were all checking the new deals at the same time, and were patient a while longer.

I'm all for it - even when the votes are smashingly in favour for one bundle, there's a good number of people that would have bought the other one.
Though I have yet to be tempted by a bundle (either had it or didn't care enough to have/ complete it). At this point, I hope that a bundle I want will show up at least once.

undeadcow: GOG's seasonal sales are a lot of fun, and as much as I appreciate it I wish the bundle deals would vary more from promotion to promotion. Today's bundle deal I own from the Summer sale, tomorrow's likely deal I own from the Summer sale, etc, etc...

It is interesting that users have the option to vote for sales, and so many of the previous Summer sale bundles seem to be winning.
New users, and old &/or infrequent users who missed them when they previously came up, or weren't yet interested in them would be my bet.
I don't find it surprising at all - GOG would know best what is selling, and I'm glad they give us a voice in the offers (even though I've only bothered to vote once or twice).
The bundles that didn't get picked may yet have a chance before the sale is over, either on another vote, or one of the mega-sale days others have described.
I am a little sad, because with icewind dale II i have now bought all the gog game appealing me, so until a new masterpiece will be released, I will no longer buy new games.

Thank you gog
I'll put up my two cents on the pick the type of game I want on sale. Just show me all three. Ignore the fact that I don't care for gambling in the first place. I'm not here to gamble. I'm here to buy games. If GOG just shows me three games on sale, it's much more likely I'll buy one in the first place.

As for those who are complaining about the others who want the re-roll on the vote, it's totally necessary if they keep the promo the way it its. Even though I don't care for the set up, I'm still picking in case I can find a game I want. Today, my pick was a game I already own, and I'm not one with the re-roll option yet which means no sale for me today. Let me put it in totally mercenary terms. GOG is here to make money. I'm here to buy stuff. If the item on sale is what I already own, no purchase, and we both lose.

GOG, don't stop trying new things. I love you guys, and you're much more creative than the other game sites. It's just like all of us who like creativity, sometimes it doesn't work.

Oddly enough, I do like the community vote on two games to see which one's on sale next. It feels like a cage match between two games. Two games enter. One game leaves.
Definitely hoping that there's a chance to get ahold of the bundles that weren't voted to be community deals. As the fellow with the pointy teeth, metal face and jaunty hat mentioned, it would be a good wallet-draining day.
I bought the D&D bundle yesterday, so I think I'm all set for my rpg needs for a while. :-) So no M&M bundle for me today. And well, already got the Icewind Dale titles yesterday, and Aarklash doesn't really tickle my fancy enough for ten bucks.

I did get Omikron in my daily surprise box for $2.49 and might get that. I really like the story and looks of that one, just wondering how combat oriented the gameplay is?

And it should remain that way. Whats the point of community deal, if the losing bundle gets offerred at the end in an encore anyway????
If I want to get some games from D&D series from this sale, is Baldus gate or Icewind dale way to go?

I havent played any of them yet.

Those two interes me most.

IWD is mainly hack and slash (even though the graphics are pretty good for their age). BG if you want more of a story (with decent combat)

Thanks, yes, IWD graphics does look nicer, but story may be tie breaker if that is the case.

I'll give it some more thought till the end of the sale.
