Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Showing the full correct page here. Less than 4 hours to go for new deals. All boxes click ok for me...

Time left display depends on your computer's time, so verify that it is correct. As for the boxes, there were some hiccups at the beginning of day two, but should be working fine after that.

Ahh ok thanks. Thought the time would be running from GOG's servers.
Does GOG ever have real time strategy bundles?

If so which games do they generally include?

timppu: That's certainly odd. Anyway, when I disable wifi from the laptop (there's a switch that fully disables all wireless connectivity, both wifi and bluetooth), then it is fully offline, with no internet connectivity. So the situation should be similar to yours.
Yes indeed. Apparently the problem is that I suck at testing.

My apologies to the developers -- I was pretty harsh in my response, because I believed I'd verified the behaviour I was describing; but it now seems that I actually messed up my testing. I feel pretty bad about it.

The real problem is less severe, and doubtless depends upon firewall behaviour. My firewall prompts me when unauthorised applications request internet access, and if I deny access to Race the Sun then it fails to load. I do still consider this a failing of the game which needs patching (I suspect my firewall may simply be dropping the packets in this situation, and the game's request never times out? I'm not 100% sure, but it IS possible to make the game hang at load time this way).

What I can confirm is that when I allow the request but unplug my network cable, the game does load and I can select the offline option. As I did try to test this exact case before originally posting, I'm not sure now what I actually did at that time, but as I can't repeat the problem now I am presuming the fault was mine.

Again, my apologies (and thanks to timppu for following this up, and prompting me to recheck everything).
