Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

IAmSinistar: Ah, YouTube. A collection of connoisseurs whose critical discernment rivals that of the British Philosophical Society or the panel of The New York Review Of Books. One needs no further recommendation.

xy2345: Well, since they are talking to video gamers about video games: Yes, youtube is a very good medium to do that.
Maybe, with the ID content matching and Google+ together it appears to be a bit more of a pain if you're a content provider, however on the bright side most companies and developers are helping the way on trying to keep you able to stream your content (even monetized), although there's a few companies who are ass backwards and will likely remain so regarding it (Nintendo).

I'm considering making a channel but it might end up being on Twitch.tv rather than YouTube.

JMich: Until December 29th.
Wasn't last year's one longer?

Yes.

JMich: Yes.
Thought so. Wonder if there's going to be time for an encore on the last day.

Didnt they have a new year sale for a few days right after?
To be whatever this is: The Fall Insomnia was better.

No. Last day of the sale was January 2nd (or was it 3rd?), and it was an encore with all the daily deals from the sale.

This is more relaxed. Had been hoping for more of a Insomnia feel rush to it.oh well

Honestly, the main difference I'm seeing is that the forum for this isn't as busy...though I do approve of Free games that last for more than .000001 seconds.

Well considering everyone doesn't have to be glued to their chairs waiting for the next deal that may last a minute to a couple hours, yeah it's going to be less busy, fewer people to gripe about time they would have been doing something else. I know the JavaScript was eating all my CPU power and quite a bit of bandwidth constantly getting updates from the site, almost be better to have a dedicated program you could run and have on a separate window/screen so it doesn't cause as much problems.

Much easier to get the free games though, that's a huge improvement.

It's not really the topic I'm calling into question, it's the issue of quality control. Or lack thereof. But then I don't eat at fast food joints either, so clearly my standards are different than a lot of other folks.

Until I can comment again using my YouTube account which is different from my main Google(forced +) account, I have lost the right to comment on YT. I absolutely refuse to do it under my standard Google account which is linked to my GMail, because I don't want my comments influence my search results on Google and have those comments pop up if someone searches the net for my personal name.
Can anyone recommend me a service that does not push people into linking their phone number and linking to some other asocial network like Google+?

I am in the same boat brother, I can't even log on to YT currently so I'm just keeping watch of a couple specific channels.

As for other services, not sure. I've tried out DailyMotion, it's simple but I haven't seen much along the way of comments, I've also not seen much in the way of gaming on there but maybe that's about to change... There's comments of Twitch.Tv, which has a live chat but I'm not sure about comments and a conversation system.

You could do as TotalBiscuit does, with Google+ forced on him he locked all comments and references you to Reddit instead. See link

I am tempted to make a channel and start providing videos and my thoughts on various games, but with all the youtube changes I'm now uncertain if I should proceed except using DailyMotion, Vimeo, Twitch.tv or something similar...
but are the three surprises equal for everyone?

Ungunbu: but are the three surprises equal for everyone?
what do u mean?
Everyone can get the 3 games for free. And even gift them to others
