Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

lanark: Confirmed, daily deal working now, thanks GOG!
not working for me...

Edit: ok, now I got a "game owned" :-(
It would be better to put games in the three boxes the user does not own already...

Novotnus: Looks like everybody's checking now. Broken again, at least for me ;)
Crazy.Maybe they'll have to do a complete reboot of the daily gifts now.Assassins Creed didn't do much for me, i want another shot!:D:D

BreOl72: So, you missed the part on the bundle's site where it says:
"Save 75% when purchasing all games at once or save 50% when purchasing selected titles" ?
You must've missed the most important part. It doesn't show you which games you already have, so when you uncheck even the ones you have, you only get 50% off, when in every other sale in GOG.com history you would keep the discount.

Blue letters say it's still the case, but now you have to work delete manually games you already have from the basket to keep the discount.

If you uncheck the games you already have on the sale page... It looks like you loose the discount (even though you don't), and most buyers will not check random forum posts by blues to confirm that.

I don't know if I can be any more clear about what I am talking about.

TurnipSlayerr: You don't need to buy the games you already have from the bundle to get the higher discount. If you go through to the checkout then you'll be able to remove the games you already own.

keeveek: Sounds like total bullshit amount of unnecessary busywork, thank you!

Also, most customers will just resign from buying this as soon as they see the discount dropping with unchecking games on the sale page.

All that to save some server load?
I know this is very far from ideal. We'll try to get it sorted as soon as possible.
I have to say, I like how tight the voting is for the next community vote. And here I'm hoping I get to buy carmageddon 2 at extra discount tomorrow.
The boxes work for me now - got Evil Genius, 70% off, $2.99 in Random Magic.

Just wanted to say that I came here to ask about this issue as well, as I already own half of the Bullfrogs bundle games and was wondering why I wasn't getting credit for that on the promo page.

Yeah.I'm counting on Carma 2 to pull that sale through!
Something I'm wondering about the Daily Surprise boxes:
What's the breakpoint on Timeless Classics vs Brave New Worlds? I'd guess about 2000 or so, maybe 2005, but I'd like to know for sure.
It's way too early to ask, but out of curiosity I wonder if the promo packs will be repeated on the last day of the sale as in the previous summer and winter sales?

Good question. And if so, will they only repeat the Community Deals that were voted upon or all of them?

They added an option for the bundles that now recognizes which games you already own without having to meddle around, all automatic!

Have there been any surprises with the boxes, like freebies or totally unexpected deals (I don't count getting a deal for a game you own as a surprise, since I've already read a lot of rightful complaints about it)? Or is that just a choice between an old game, a newer game or any game? I'm O.K. either way, but if I'm gambling, I'd like to get as much information on the odds as I can ^_^.
Another Brave New World: Game that I already own. Sigh... Not much fun those gift packages. I love the Fallout freebies though. So nice to be able to gift this to a friend.. Gabriel Knight 1 is a must-buy if you want a really deep story, good voice acting and you get to know so much about Voodoo. The Erica Reed series? Well... Gorgeous graphics, awkward interface, flow-breaking cut scenes, lack of freedom in movement and quick response moments <= I absolutely hate those, especially right after the before-mentioned flow breaking cut scene. Not recommended.

I got Evil Genius as the daily deal. Don't have it, but I'm not that much into strategy.
Is it worth $3?
Are Populous 1 and 2 worth 3 dollars? Are the first 2 better than the 3rd?
