Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Kunovski: oh, I'm loving this time:

too late for americans, too early for europeans, and the good old asians and australians aren't that crazy so the site finally works :)
Mate I had the same issues of website freezing and crashing in the morning... Now it's early night time here and finally everything works smoothly. I guess no one was expecting XMas sales to come that early! And of course the sale is better than last year... Oh my Gog! There are still games that I want to buy here - and of course I have no time to play them....
Sure wish there was a OS X-compatible games daily box to pick >_>

Love the Fallout giveaway though, and the fact the games will be downloadable even after they're removed from the catalogue! Other digital download services should learn from this example.
Hey guys,

Has anyone experienced problems with processing their orders due to the overloads of servers?
Yesterday I purchased two games - "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" and "Scratches". My credit card was charged (I received a short message from my bank) but the GoG system said that the payment could not be verified. My money's gone, and I still don't have these games in my account.
I contacted the support and got an automatic response but they've been silent for, like, 15 hours or so.
Am I alone with this issue?

1) The automatic response is to show that your ticket has been received. It is placed in the queue (Payments queue only, so people unable to get their games to run doesn't slow your ticket) and will be dealt with swiftly.
2) Try doing an account refresh. It is possible that the site hiccup means that your games are properly bought, but not appearing in your shelf.
3) Wait a bit longer. Support did pull an all-nighter, but they usually respond in 1-2 business days. You should have a message from JuriJ (or another blue) shortly, and your games will be in your shelf.

Thank you so much for your response, JMich! The account refresh didn't work out but I really didn't know that the support usually responds in 1-2 days. Of course, I'll wait then.
Thanks again!

It's almost Day 2. I wonder what's in store for all of us here on GOG.

Thank you for this! Merry Christmas, everyone! T'is the season to be jolly! You already gave us the Fallout series and yet there's still more to come. Wow. How very generous of you. Excited! You deserve more than +1, I guarantee you that.

(Just expressing my genuine heartfelt joy.)
Will the pick-a-gift-box deals ever contain any freebies?

Somehow I doubt it. My box included ShadowRun at 40% off, although interested and I want that game I will wait a little while, perhaps get a better deal in the upcoming months.
