On top of regular discounts you'll have daily deals including games presented by YouTube personalities, hot thematic bundles chosen each day by our dear users, offered with up to 80% discounts, and--finally--daily personal deals where you pick one of the special offers available to you, and you only. This holiday season, your GOG.com Winter Sale experience include the company of Jesse Cox, Force Strategy Gaming, Dodger from Press Heart to Continue, and the YogsCast team. Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale will last until Sunday, December 29, at 1:59PM GMT. Happy holidays from GOG.com team, everyone! And again, sorry for the server issues in the initial hours of our sale.

oh, I'm loving this time:

too late for americans, too early for europeans, and the good old asians and australians aren't that crazy so the site finally works :)

nijuu: Not curious enough for me to buy it :P
What else is at the bottom? (excluding freebies and new releases)
Well, new releases mostly... and Ethan :)
Actually, take a look :)

thanks .Got to be an easier way to list all the games :). Yeah your right. Mostly new stuff. If i recall when i last checked it a few months ago, most of the bottom 50 or so were pretty much indies... the old classics were started somewhere around bottom 60 or 70 i think... have to check.

Yeah, mostly indies \ puzzle platformers. Montague's Mount is surprisingly low - I'm certainly geting it before the sale ends (along with Wasteland), but I'll wait for better discounts on daily deals or present boxes :)
And I swear, if I get Jack Keane 2 or Ethan on a daily deal \ present box, I'll buy them :)

It's been like this for some hours now. They got more servers while you were sleep.
I was wondering how this sale is working. I have all the Thief games except Thief 2, will it eventually get a big discount or will it remain at this value?

No guarantees. New community deals each day and recommended deals.
And games will generally keep their base discount til end of sale on Dec 29th :)

There is a big chance that Thief series will be on some daily deal, so check GOG every day and grab it when it's cheap... or get it the last day of the sale, when you know it won't be discounted this time.

IAmSinistar: Thanks! And sorry for the ambiguity of my response, the "answer which is hidden" that I was referring to is when the sale ends. But general consensus seems to be two weeks, so I'm operating on that premise.

By the way, I don't seem to be able to add items to my Wishlist at the moment. Is this a known issue at the time as well? Perhaps that got switched off too in order to minimise server load.

TurnipSlayerr: My bad, the sale ends on December 29th.

Not sure about the wishlist but it's certainly likely that it was switched off as you've mentioned
I think it's a good idea to edit OP and include this information there. Otherwise we may see a question about it appearing every day or so ;)
I hope the Gothic games get a daily offer or I am lucky to get a personal offer :D. Imo one of the best PC RPGs out there. 1+2 are really good!
Gifting of Fallout 1,2, Tactics is backup :)
Picked up the freebies, Divinity: Dragon Commander, and Aarklash Legacy. Looking forward to the rest of the daily deals, and come Dec. 29 I will be buying anything still on my wishlist.

Someday I'll need to make time to actually play all these games. Currently working through the NES and SNES games I never played.
Posted in the wrong thread.

Just sent a support email explaining that I have been trying for a while now to buy some of the current games on offer, but the site just is not stable enough to do so.
- I also can't get the personal deal thing to work either. I've tried clicking them but all I get is the spinning loading circle.
- Can not access My Games / Wishlist. Just shows up as an empty page, even though it seems to have finished loading.
- tried checking the full catalog, but none of the games are showing as "owned", so I don't know which ones I need to buy D:

Poor GoG really are getting hammered. I have the patience to wait it out so I'm not that bothered. I'm quite sure they will get it all stable again as soon as they can. A tad bummed I might miss some great deals, but stuff happens.

Success has broken GoG. at least for now. We all need to buy extra games once the site is working properly again so they can pay the extra techs they had to hire to come in and scrape up the melted old server and install the new more powerful server model nine thousand and one. You now, cos its power.. its over 9000! (sorry. I'll get my coat)
