Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale will last until Sunday, December 29, at 1:59PM GMT. Happy holidays from GOG.com team, everyone! And again, sorry for the server issues in the initial hours of our sale.

Thanks for the links, curious they was not in the first 2 pages of topics!

IAmSinistar: Thanks! And sorry for the ambiguity of my response, the "answer which is hidden" that I was referring to is when the sale ends. But general consensus seems to be two weeks, so I'm operating on that premise.

By the way, I don't seem to be able to add items to my Wishlist at the moment. Is this a known issue at the time as well? Perhaps that got switched off too in order to minimise server load.

TurnipSlayerr: My bad, the sale ends on December 29th.

Not sure about the wishlist but it's certainly likely that it was switched off as you've mentioned
Nae worries TurnipSlayerr, it was my laconic writing, not you. :)

Thanks very much for the hard info on the sale date. And sorry I did reply sooner, the DNS servers went out on my internet service. Things are tough all over, eh?

EDIT: And yes indeed, the Wishlist is back and working fine. Kudos GOGlords, you snapped all this back into shape admirably!

EasyGamer: The games on sale don't show whether I own them already or not. Is this something that was caused by the server overload or was just not implemented?

If you can, please implement it, so that I only buy what I don't own already.

Keep it up, GoG. You guys rule.
Scratch this (leaving for posterity):
Curious about this, too. In the past you could buy the bundle, minus the ones you already owned, at the bundle price. I can see the option for gifting if you want but if I remove the ones I own, it goes to a higher price.

Never mind, I see how it works now :) Click the green "Check Out Now" button, then, for the games you have, click the X to the left. It removes them from the list but still leaves the promo pack price for the others.

xy2345: Will those 50% discounts remain throughout the whole sale, so that I can wait for a bigger discount and if I don't get one, buy those games at a 50% discount on the last day?
avatar
nijuu: SOmeone mentioned thats probably the way to go. GOG usually informs us when any games/publishers only put certain games on sale for x amount of time
Thanks. I'll wait then. In the meantime I bought Shadow Warrior for 10 bucks.
Well, I went with new Shadow Warrior, Magrunner, Outlast, and Amnesia Pig for today. Should have held off on RotT, which I bought around its time of release in the summer, and I still have barely played it. =/

I'm kind of not liking that the voting system for deals is back. Why not do both? Was kind of irritating during the 'battle of the games' thing GOG had going during that one summer sale, and I'm still not a fan. Thankfully, there will be a few more options besides those.
