Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Is there any way to see how much they're on sale for / will they stay on sale for the rest of the promo? It takes such an epic amount to load anything that I haven't really been able to check.
Nice Sale but I cannot buy a thing it never gets to the buy screen and i am not going to wait forever for a screen to load when i have very fast internet. You all need to fix something because its not working.

TheEnigmaticT: Our highest traffic day ever was during the Insomnia sale--we ordered double the servers of that sale, and it still wasn't nearly enough. We're rolling out another order of the same size in the next hour or so, and then we should be good to go.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Double and still not enough? Not really surprised, after all, it's Fallout we're talking about.

Fingers crossed that things will smooth out pretty soon.
Double the servers of the Insomnia sale not just double their standard load servers. And they're going to do it again. We will be on four times the servers of the insomnia sale. Talk about awesome traffic! :D

TurnipSlayerr: All the games that are on sale but not part of any daily deals or mystery boxes will be on sale at the same discount right through the promo. Of course a game which is 50% off at the moment may be in a daily deal in the future (e.g. Theme Hospital is 50% right now but might show up as part of the Bullfrog Bundle) This excludes a couple launch discounts which are outside of the promo.

IAmSinistar: Thanks! And sorry for the ambiguity of my response, the "answer which is hidden" that I was referring to is when the sale ends. But general consensus seems to be two weeks, so I'm operating on that premise.

By the way, I don't seem to be able to add items to my Wishlist at the moment. Is this a known issue at the time as well? Perhaps that got switched off too in order to minimise server load.
My bad, the sale ends on December 29th.

Not sure about the wishlist but it's certainly likely that it was switched off as you've mentioned

Well, if you choose them on the promo page individually, you can see how much you save:

Dragon Commander: $22.49 you save: $22.50
Shadow Warrior: $9.99 you save: $30.00
Omerta: $7.99 you save: $32.00
Magrunner: $7.99 you save: $12.00
Outlast: $6.66 you save: $13.33
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs: $9.99 you save: $10.00
Aarklash: $10.49 you save: $10.50
Rise of the Triad: $4.99 you save: $10.00

They are on sale for the rest of the promo too, but not for these prices.

Petrell: As I posted above, server gnomes seem to have disabled gifting free games to avoid servers from blowing up :-p If you have friends that do not have Fallout trilogy, they'll need to come to get them themselves. For now at least.
avatar
Lodium: It was those gift packs.
Picked classy and got LBA2 wich i already own so i thougth i migth as well save it for later and do a trade or a giveaway when things have calmed down.
Oh, those shouldn't be affected by above as it should affect only gifting free games (fallout games essetially). Probably just servers having hard time so keep trying later.
I'm going to buy some games now and you're going to buy some servers now, everybody wins! :D

Thanks! I have no idea how you manage to get such fast load speeds. It takes me three tries before I can get through to anything on here.

No problem.
I don't know why, but for me the site works pretty well. I still get the bear occasionally, but most of the time it's pretty fast. Maybe because I'm much nearer to Poland?

Our ADN is all over the world; there are something like 25,000 servers we deploy from? I'm guessing you're just lucky.

Why so sooon?
avatar
TheEnigmaticT: I'm guessing you're just lucky.
That can't be the reason - that never happened before. :p

But good to know that you've got servers all around the world. I actually suspected this, but then during the Insomnia Sale people claimed that it was impossible for people outside of Europe to grab freebies, because of the latency or something...

That myth was debunked pretty early in, as their were people in Canada, Brazil, the States, one or two from Argentina, Australia, etc, grabbing freebies. People mostly just wanted to gripe. :P

When I clicked the gift icon on the sale page, I got a coupon for a game I already own :/
Aarklash: Legacy has two prices depending on where you try to pick it up. One is $12 and some cents and the other is $10.49 if you get it from "The Big One" sale, even when you don't buy the other games in the package.

FYI Blues
