Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale will last until Sunday, December 29, at 1:59PM GMT. Happy holidays from GOG.com team, everyone! And again, sorry for the server issues in the initial hours of our sale.

I just had a flashback from the Autumn Sale when Jack Keane 2 clogged up the whole system.
This is what happens when people don't vote for the Jack Keane Bundle

Indru: I'm thinking they accidentaly set the main timer to 48 hours, and they probably have the day off (since it's Christmas) so they won't be realising it until tomorrow. Now that's sad... We just lost a day of sales. Maybe they'll change the end date and set it to January 30 since they messed up this day.

HypersomniacLive: I somehow doubt it was by accident - since it's Christmas Day, they probably planned it this way in order for all GOG staffers to have a hassle-free day with their families and friends. Maybe they expected today to be a slow day anyway.
I think the 48 hour timer is deliberate. The accident lies in the fact that they didn't increase the time on the promos themselves. So the main page won't update for another 23 hours or so but the current promos are unbuyable because they weren't updated with the main timer.
Amazing. Every time gog goes to sleep, something goes wrong.
I think GOG needs to give away another free game to make up for this blunder :)

Oh well, I guess I can put away my wallet for another 24 hours... Oh wait, I still have Steam, GamersGate, GreenManGaming, Game Fly, Amazon, Get Games and Big Fish trying to get me to spend money as well. Wow, tis the season to spend that's for sure.
This is the revenge of Jack Keane :-)

Happy holidays to everyone!
Keane strikes again!
Ah well, the issue has reminded me that the boards exist so I'm here now. That's kind of a win actually as all of you seem really cool.

And I'm so glad for GOG I'm willing to forgive any small occasional problems. Happy holidays to them and everyone else!
The daily deals still seem to work though.
BTW: If you log in from different computers you will get Different Daily Deals!
I get 12 choices!

Yep, and they also show a remaining time for the next choice of around 24 hours, so the problem is only with the two bundles ending ahead of their time, it seems.

Here's the URL for today's Globetrotters Gear deal - it's live!

Figured it out looking at the URLs for previous deals. And here's the recommended deal - A Study in Red.

http://www.gog.com/promo/a_study_in_red_winter_promo_2013

So I guess it was just a mistake to not have the front page change to show new deals after 24 hours.

I think the other way around.

Thanks, man! You don't, by any chance, have the link to the voting page for tomorrow's deal, don't you? :D (just throwing that there, you know) :P

P.S.: This is another reason to believe that the main timer was the accident, and not the promos.

Thanks for those, but I'd rather see the last bundles prolonged. Let's hope for the 28th/29th then...

The only thing left would be the next installment of the special offers then, but those seem to really last another 24 hours.

My daily deal didn't change, probably because I actually bought the one I selected yesterday :(
Oh well, there's always tomorrow.
