2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale Video Recommendations playlist

Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale will last until Sunday, December 29, at 1:59PM GMT. Happy holidays from GOG.com team, everyone! And again, sorry for the server issues in the initial hours of our sale.

CarrionCrow: Should be five, I think. Tomorrow's deal will in all likelihood be the pirate-themed bundle, then there's Monday through Friday. I would be surprised if they posted a vote for a Saturday community bundle, since that will probably be the final day recap. But yes, it does appear that they showed all the recommended deals during the mid-point. Definitely hoping for further variety in the community items. Already picked up all the probable items from the recommended side of things that looked interesting during the midpoint.

HypersomniacLive: Yes, you were right. Sadly with tomorrow's Deals revealed we're now down to four days of hoping.
Well, if nothing else, the Wing Commander bundle looks promising in size, quality and price. Unless you're talking about the movie, I never seem to see people complaining about Wing Commander at length.
Good. With Deus Ex GOTY as the daily deal and Blade of Darkness discounted, the finishing strokes are added to my GOG collection - at least for now. Sure, there are still items in the wishlist, but none of them fall into the "must have" category, it's either "might be interesting" or "already have elsewhere" type.
My thanks tot GOG team for the sale, it helped me get those precious games I enjoyed years ago.
Ah, completing something feels good indeed.

Sure, for those that don't already have them or are looking to complete the series, but it's not really my thing (don't think I've even ever watched the movie you mentioned), so no excitement here.
Damn I missed the Fantasy Bundle yesterday with King of Dragon Pass and Lords of Midnight, any chance the same deal will be repeated in this Christmas sale?

There's a chance of an encore on the last day of the sale (Dec 28 - Dec 29).
Is it just me or did GOG really outdo itself to make the current voting as uneven as possible? I mean 9 games vs. 3 games + 2 DLCs? Seriously? Even if we compare products to purchase we have 8 (WC1+2 are bundled) vs 5. Amusing :D

FoxySage: I got it one or two times today while i was cycling through to try get Bloodrayne, which i had no luck in getting.

CarrionCrow: Ever manage to get ahold of it? I've been hoping for another deal on Sam and Max like the one I found for the first season. Lightning isn't striking twice on that, though.

Foxy, skeleton, check your PM's when you see this, please.
Nope, i spent my daily surprise on Nox instead. By the way, check your PM i might be available to help with the Sam and Max.

Thanks again for the unexpected gift!
Yes! Corsairs! Come on and get lucky daily deal!
Since the "Santa got Scared" deal is repeating itself, I was wondering if System Shock II is worth it. Since it would eat up the last bit of my Winter Sale budget, I thought I'd ask.

I'd say it's definitely worth the two dollars. I think I had the essentials of the plot spoiled so often that a lot of the punch was completely gone when I went to play it, but giving it another go, it's still pretty enjoyable.
I got Two Worlds 2, and now am going to wait to get Two Worlds 1. Those gift boxes are pretty useful now. Maybe I'll buy the bundles tomorrow since I think am only missing a few Commanders, might as well complete it.

Edit: Oops, scratch that, I already owned Two Worlds 1, who knows when I bought it, but I guess that completes that. Maybe I'll play em next year.
