2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale Video Recommendations playlist

Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

Our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale will last until Sunday, December 29, at 1:59PM GMT. Happy holidays from GOG.com team, everyone! And again, sorry for the server issues in the initial hours of our sale.

gandalf.nho: People complained about the mid-promo encore day last year and now they repeated?

How's is Space Colony HD and the new Rise of Triad?
avatar
nijuu: Last year they showed ALL the bundles before the steam sale hit.. as a result there was zero surprise for the rest of the sale..........
I really hope there is still a surprise or two left, as my BIGGEST priority is the Sierra Games...
Doesn't stop me from picking up a few goodies today though... ;)

nijuu: Im just saying what happened last year.
the news page about this promo says

NOTICE
Heads-up! The following special deals are making their final appearance today, in our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale:
...
This is your final call for those!

I'm guessing new deals to start tomorrow! really hoping for Dust: AET and Driftmoon a some point as they aren't in the pool for daily surprise deals.

undeadcow: It is strange there's no option to vote for tomorrow's "Community Deal."
I was about to post about there not being a vote for tomorrow's deal as well. The Turn-based 4X pack that was voted yesterday is a deal today, so perhaps the sale will be taking on a new format tomorrow?

Or maybe they'll do two community deals per day plus the recommended ones, forgoing the voting option.

undeadcow: This isn't necessarily a repeat of the middle promotion deal from prior sales (in which EVERY deal for the entire sale was offered). In this Winter Sale I THINK we still have undisclosed "Community Deals" (unless those abruptly end mid-promo).
I think you are right. Why should they give a 66% discount for Wing Commander V (in a recommended deal, so you can buy WC V alone at 66% off) and no special discount for the other Wing Commanders (not even in the daily suprises)? This doesn't make a lot of sense, so I think there are more special offers waiting. Maybe even new Recommended Deals...
I think tomorrow GOG will show up with a whole new promotion style deals. That is why no voting for anything tomorrow. Good for them for making things varied.

Impaler26: Well, there you have it guys. GOG wants us all to go broke before christmas... :D

tinyE: Fair enough, but the only stuff I've bought has been games for other people.
The job as well as the cost of being Santa? You get bad luck with a hat like that :_(

I bought Two Worlds and Two Worlds II, that makes 4 worlds.

Hmm, I count 6 worlds...
Please tell me that's not all the recommended deals for this sale. I'm never going to get DP at this rate.
This whole winter sale thing has been amazing.

Helped me discover GOG and got a boatload of good deals out of it too!

You guys rock!

9 recommended deals that we haven't seen so far, so assuming another encore on the 28th, those are all. It is possible that Deadly Premonition will be a community deal, but that means people will have to vote for it. It is part of the surprise box though, so you may be lucky.

Considering there are 11 more days of sale left, I'm sure there is time enough for a couple more surprises. :D

Same here! :-) So far we've only had GK1 in the recommended deals, even none in the daily surprise boxes if I'm not mistaken. Really hoping there's still a great sales offer to come on the Sierra classics!

Welcome! Good to know the sale is still introducing folks to GOG. =)
Hey guys, sorry if this was already covered but i'm a little confused, is this Solstice Festivmas different from the Winter Sale?
Uhm, trying to find the correct english words to explain my doubt so bear with me, should i buy the games that i want until the 19th or is the Winter Sale going to continue after this "solstice festivmas" event? Because i'm always hopping to find the games that i have on my wishlist on the daily surprise on better yet, some kind of ww2 community deal (hey, it could happen if doesn't go vs something big).
