Yeah, pretty much what i expected. Portugal worthless on offense and Ronaldo worthless all around. He should've been replaced, not Hugo Almeida. But, well, the 'sacred cow' and all that.
Anyway, congrats to Spain, definitely the best team on the field. Best of luck for the rest of the Cup.
Another great match for Coentrão, best player on our side in this cup.
Oh, and it would be unfair not to mention Eduardo, great stuff from him, well done.

No matches this Wednesday and Thursday.
I'm seriously thinking that the final will be Brazil vs Germany.

fabricioz: Last world cup we had an all european semi-finals.
Maybe we could have an all south american this time??
Brazil vs Uruguay
Argentina vs Paraguay
Maybe :)

Indeed. Man, it would be great to see all the 4 south-american teams playing, yes there's the possibility.
And obviously, the final would be Brazil vs Argentina. And even more obvious would be the winner, Brazil. :p
Tough part is Paraguay winning from Spain...

Sorry Portugal, see ya in 2014! :p
The first half was good and balanced, but then after Spain making its goal... Portugal players kinda slept in-game and didn't tried harder to make their goal, so it became clear who would win.

Yeah, Queiroz had a good game plan but then he screwed it up on the 2nd half.
Anyway, great matches coming up and i'm looking forward to see who wins this one ;)
Another offside goal. Not so much, but it's funny to see, in this world cup, when there were so much discussion about the use of electronics to aid the referees and FIFA doing nothing, then we had so much awful errors.
Luis Fabiano goal after conducting ball with arm, Tevez goal totally offside, Lampard goal not validated, Spain goal in offside...

There has been discussion of using video in football for a very long time (players were already calling for it in the 80s), and nothing's ever come out of it due to obstruction by FIFA.
With Blatter recently apologizing for the mistakes though, that makes me hopeful that they'll finally see reason and agree to try it out.
If all those mistakes , however shameful they are, lead to the use of video in important matches, then they'll have served a purpose...

One of them was named Platini...
The dinosaur did apologize and they are probably considering different options right now (such as video for the goal-line). But at the same time, they are also considering adding more referees on the field. I really hope that they will vote for video (the way it is in rugby, tennis or american football) instead of that solution.

Here in Brazil, since many years ago, several moves have been taken towards a better game with less errors, like use of two referees (one in each side), spray marker, electronic communication, etc. But we still have lots of gruesome mistakes.
It's so ironic that Fifa disaproves the use of electronics on the field, but they force the use of the latest technologies everywhere else, like 3D and full HD transmissions, even on the screens on the stadium, where the crowd could see the error in the replay! For them, the solution was to ban the replay...
Like a brazilian comedian said on TV, it's like you getting your wife with somebody else in your bed and your action is to sell the bed :D
I don't know what the hell FIFA is going about that adding cameras and technology dehumanizes the game or will make it longer.
Just add one "video referee". A guy who has access to the slow motion captures and can rewind plays easily. Have this very human person sitting in a cabin, wearing a headset and be able to easily communicate with the referee, who they all happen to be wearing headsets or earphones now.
Any referee with doubts about any of their calls or who didn't manage to see the play too well, could easily glance at the video referee and the guy tells him what happened through the earphone. It doesn't take long, the human side is still there and hell, it's even vuvuzela proof.

That's because that replay wasn't supposed to be aired on the screens, that was a human error, a leak.
The guy who leaked it to the screens was fired already, probably.
Ghaaaaanaaaaaa.

No.
Mensah got acquainted with karma.
Congrats to Netherlands and Uruguai.
I'm kinda glad for Fucile and Maxi but i feel real bad for Ghana.
And Brazil is out too. Probably not a good day to be around Dunga :|
The games today were pretty good, and I have high hopes for tomorrow.
Sad to see the last African team out.
