The level of the referees in this tournament is a complete scandal. The only good ones have been the ones who are daily with the big leagues. Just look at how Howard Webb handled Slovakia - Italy. Brilliant. The key is that for these referees big games are just another day on the job, but for Hernan Fucktoado from the Dominican Republic it's not quite that.

The referees are not the ones to blame. The culprits are the FIFA representatives (or whoever else) who refuse to use the video during a football match. It's been decades that everybody but those stubborn want video.

Yes. Football needs a dubious goal panel, like they have in ice hockey.
Sepp Blatter is stubbornly refusing though, but honestly all you would have needed in this case is add a match assistant behind each goal. Maybe that's cost prohibitive to implement in all football, but you could fucking do it in a world cup when you know the referees just aren't up to snuff.
It's not the referee either per se, it's the linesman. He seems completely out of it. Isn't able to position himself fast enough, and lags behind the play in every attack.

Nah, never. England had a team on the field. They had a bit misfortune and some Ref decisions against them, but a team trying to fight back. That's more then the French can claim.
