(Oh and the economics are adjusted for inflation and purchasing power for this and his other videos though he doesn't explicitly say it in all the videos. The health aspect alone is cool to watch.)

I agree that it's interesting, and it's a good way for people who whine about how much their life sucks to get a little perspective that dry historical data wouldn't give them.

What I found most interesting was the way some countries would move up and down very fast due to (I assume) wars and disease.

You can see how China plummets in about 1960 due to Mao's land reforms and famine.

Indeed there are several interesting ... bumps in the data.
