Its excellent. Really well acted, great effects (except for one throat cut that just looked completely wrong) used the elements of the game without just retelling the story and managed to stay true to the licence to tell a good story rather than just trading on the name.
The irony is that if it was a paid film rather than an incredibly elaborate advert, I really doubt that it would have been that good.

Please don't. That prick needs to stay buried. If you must, at least have him flogged and beaten everyday for 7 hours.
For me, its not about the fact that Boll's movies are bad, its the fact that me makes them intentionally bad. He could have made a good Far Cry, Alone in the Dark or Bloodrayne movie, but he specifically set out to make the worst movies, practically in the history of film making, just for the sake of making a quick buck or to take advantage of a loophole in German tax law that allowed him to profit off of failed films. Almost anyone else would have taken those games and at least tried to make something halfway decent out of them (just look at the Resident Evil films), but Boll doesn't and goes out of his way to do the exact opposite. It doesn't matter who he punches out, he still sucks giant donkey balls in my book for that.
All-time evils
1. Adolf Hitler
2. Uwe Boll
3. Josef Stalin
Just like Ed Wood, I feel that someday Uwe Boll will be adored for having that same go-get-em attitude.
The difference being, Ed Wood was honestly trying to make the best movies he could, he just wasn't actually that good at it. Uwe Boll actually could be a brilliant film maker, but as long as he keeps putting all his efforts into making bad films, instead of trying to make good films that just turn out bad, we'll never know.
The alternative being: He is making movies that he feels are good.
Imagine if someone made a (faithful) Duke Nukem movie. It would be insanely offensive, need to be censored at almost all times, and have crappy CGI. That would do HORRIBLY in theaters and would be lucky to get cult status. But it would be entertaining, for those who like it.
I am not saying Boll is just catering to a niche demographic. But he probably isn't the evil bastard everyone claims he is.
Boll fully admits that he has made movies specifically to bomb at the box office, just to take advantage of German tax laws. He is not making movies he feels are good (except Postal, I honestly think he believes that is a masterpiece), he is making movies he knows are bad.
I wonder if Boll would ever make a game...and his own form of DRM.
I'm sorry... 2000 people actually watched FarCry... and he is complaining?

He made a game based on his movie, Tunnel Rats. It's also very very bad. Well some say the game is better than the movie which isn't surprising given that in the movie everyone had to improvise their lines.
The Postal movie was about the only Uwe Boll movie I've enjoyed watching, but then again, I actually liked the games, and felt that for the most part, the story and plot fit Boll's directing.
I saw 5 minutes of House of the Dead and turned it off, same with Bloodrayne 2.

sending a skeleton to attack a group of paladins. who can all smite evil would be far more fun to watch.

Sometimes I wonder if you are just a good role-player or you are serious. =)
