reaver894: Does that work all the time???

I really want the UFO series but have spent to much on games for a give-away *crosses fingers*

Khalaq: No, it doesn't work all the time, but you'd be surprised how often it does work.

THIS
I've picked Fantasy Wars. It's fugly and the story is stupid, but the game mechanics are pretty good and quite deep.
6th week for me without buying anything from the weekend sales...

hopefully next week's sale will be more attractive
shame i have most of these(should of waited for sale). but will get the UFO games.
Fantasy Wars, to me, feels like you're on a timer. I feel like it would have been better with more freedom involved, like if you could go back to previous missions and retry them, but with your current units, rather than simply restarting the mission from scratch.

So basically you're given a choice. Either explore and find everything, and also use careful strategy. Or you can try and achieve the bonus objectives (which usually means you have to complete the mission as fast as possible, losing out on the exploring and possibly losing units in the process). It's sad because it could have played more like Final Fantasy Tactics rather than Tank Commander X.

I will vouch for King's Bounty, although there is a better deal (for Crossworlds) on eBay.
It's pretty much 4 games in one..
It is 3x the cost though, so it might be best to try King's Bounty here first. It is just $5 after all, and you don't have to buy the rest of this promo.

King's Bounty is like HoMM, except it's more like an RPG. I would have preferred some respawning enemies and more reliable loot drops (or random loot) considering my incomplete elf set. But other than those two points it's a great game.

So these UFO games, are they anything like that other UFO game? You know. the classic one that GoG doesn't have?
Good Sale, but I already have King's Bounty. Fantasy Wars is nothing compared to my old favourite Fantasy General, far better. It would be great to see the Five Star General collection here too. Space Rangers 2 is good, but isn't Space Rangers 2 Reboot the Enhanced version? Can't remember... as for UFO, well it just makes me think of the older games which should be here as mentioned above.

Already got the UFO games on promo, glad that they are continuing to offer them that way - but look forward to next week's new releases and promo.

Heard they are much easier, and in some of the games base management is simplified.

Pity. Think I'll give them a miss then.

As much as we would like that it doesn't make very sound business sense.
