MsbS: Snip
FYI, instead of putting a black box over the bookmarks you want to hide, you might want to cut them out the image all together or use blurring/mosaics. It's very easy to make them readable otherwise.

As for your ghost.... Probably a server error or sommat.

No worries, no pr0n there, I just thought the links to some Polish sites would be distracting and/or confusing...

They're certainly less confusing than a huge black bar :)
Personally I find Polish links offensive and I thank you for having the respect to cover them up with a black box……. ;)

Not inherently, but in the US you have to be really mindful when combining black folks and watermelons or chicken wings.

In this case it's going to depend a whole lot on context.

The context is a Polish person linked it.

Indeed, which is why I said not inherently. Just a photo like that without some context isn't going to offend anybody, but it is a short hop to really offensive things.

That being said, it's a bit like why folks in the US are supposed to use Pole now rather than Polack. It isn't inherently offensive, but so many folks used it to imply that the individual was dim witted that it's not worth using. Which surprised me a bit to learn because that's the term I was brought up to use in the same fashion that one would use Italian, Irish or Japanese.

No wonder - that's a verbatim transliteration of how a Pole would say "Pole" in Polish. It's not the term that spawned connotations, it most likely abundant examples and inductive thinking that attached the stigma to it :|.

Well, technically, it would be male if I'm not mistaken but was broadened somewhat when borrowed by English speakers. I see I left out the fact that it's a "loan word." This fact is why I was somewhat surprised that it was considered somewhat derogatory in many circles.

And yes, from what I've gathered it isn't folks like me in the past using it simply to refer to people of a particular ethnic group, it was that connotations that it took on over the years. Which seems a bit odd to me because the only times I've heard that the term was paired with something like stupid or dumb. But, sometimes a word does turn into a pejorative even if it was a perfectly good word.
This is funny guys. When you send a gift to a black guy, a basket with two watermelons and KFC basket it's offensive.

I would be HAPPY AS HELL if someone sent me such a gift :P

There was even a stand up show of Mexican Carlos Mencia laughing his ass of this american prudence. He said he would be DELIGHTED if someone gifted him a taco, a tequila, red beans, etc. :D

Also, as a Polish citizen, I would be pleased if someone gifted me vodka, bigos, pierogi and kielbasa in one basket. But it's just me.
Oh, sorry, it wasn't Carlos Mencia, it was that other mexican guy :P

Pierogi are Polish? Poland is now officially my second favorite country.
