A shame, that. I had bacon with my Belgian waffle this morning. Visited a cow-and-pig farm over the weekend too, picked up some lovely cheeses.

Momo1991: Dunno but I really wish I hadn't looked at the offerings cause I'm jonesing for something bacony right now!
Believe it or not, the Morningstar Farms "fac bac" (pronounced "fake bake") is actually pretty good. I had it when my partner at the time was in her vegetarian phase, and it's a decent substitute if you can't have the real thing. Far better than the surrogate sausage patties, which look and taste like a science fiction food from a future where everything is made from plankton.

Well turkey bacon is pretty good - actually allowed to eat that - not exactly the same but close enough to satisfy a bacon craving.

Just looking at some of the offerings there makes my mouth water. Haven't heard of anything like that in my region but sounds delicious. Definitely got me started thinking about how to get some bacon myself and what I can get/make with bacon.
