It's tough. I was hoping people would try to convince me, at least offer an argument. And now I'm uncertain whom to back. And that Animal Crossing story got me. Again. I'd actually forgotten about it. But it's so grossly inappropriate for a Thief giveaway. Gah! I'm conflicted! On the one hand, ggf162 needs to play these games. On the other hand, I was thinking akhliber might want to try them. Then there's joppo... GAH!

LOL, it's your giveaway! You can add the extra statistical weight any way you see fit. Or are you above rigging elections :P Might want to take a vacation in Florida XD

As much as I appreciate the thought, I cannot claim to deserve a higher chance of winning than either ggf162 or akhliber. But thank you anyway. :)

You're out of luck there... but if it were my choice I would help akhliber, only because ggf162 already has at least 2 other GOGgers supporting him.

... on the other hand I can't see akhliber's post entering the giveaway, so unless you KNOW he wants the game I think you should back someone else.

No, I was mostly going blindly, based on his recent pickups of Deus Ex and System Shock. A Thief addition would have rounded out nicely his Looking Glass experience. He ought to enjoy the emphasised sneaky experience. I was making a wild educated guess...

...which is what happens, when no one in here is trying to convince me :P

What have I stumbled into? Haha. You guys are awesome. I think what's most fair is to let joppo or ggf162 win, as I am really, REALLY slow to play stealth / shooter games, and have quite a backlog I'm working on at the moment. I am willing to bet I'll enjoy the Thief games, but as long as it would be before I got around to them, I'd rather see someone win it that will get enjoyment from it sooner. I truly appreciate the thought though!

I got the original Thief gold game on CD years ago, tried it once and couldn't get into it. I've never tried a Commandos game though and I hear people talk fondly of both, just not sure they're my type of gameplay. I probably should get the first ones and give them a try.

Thanks for your support. And I did play and liked Commandos BTCOD, BEL and Commandos2 well before I joined GOG. I didn't mention it because it's a bit different in the sense that it has an overhead view and you control several units, but I agree it's a must-play for anyone who likes stealth. I might dive into Commandos 3 in the future too but from what I saw it is regarded as weaker than C2.
